Woah! You found 2 Black Francies! What a find! I love the Mods but especially the Francies! Francie and Skipper have become my favorites to collect. Thanks for your video. I always love seeing your amazing collection.
The Francie doll outfits are divine! I love fashions from the 70s especially neon floral barkcloth. The quality of Barbie clothes was definitely better back then...even tiny metal zippers.
I had a brunette flip hair style twist n turn Barbie from 1969 and my sister had one with brown hair. Then the following year I got PJ. My sister didn’t play with dolls, because she was a Tom boy, so I got all of her dolls. The clothes were so nice. I had tangerine scene and knit hit outfits. Then, in 1971 I got a Malibu Barbie for my birthday. I had the talking PJ. Her leg fell off and grandpa nailed it on. Grandma made special clothing for PJ to accommodate her nail. Now, I have Barbie and all of her friends and Fashion Avenue clothes from the 90’s, as well as reproduction dolls from the 1960’s. Nanny bought me a Chrissy doll and I loved to make her hair shorter and longer. My favorites are my reproduction Francie’s. Now, I am into American Girl dolls, because they are a lot easier to dress and are so cute.
Nice! Thanks for sharing. Sweet 16 came with a makeup compact with blush and eyeshadow that you apply with a foam tip applicator. Casey only came as a blonde or brunette and the hair can oxidize. Nice AA Francies!
Mandi, when you pulled out that Black Francie, i literally screamed! Lika a seriously audible gasp. WHAT A FIND!! i have been wanting that doll for nearly two years, but she cost a small fortune online. WOW that's incredible!
Hey Mandi! Luv ya and ur vids, so great to see you again. Been watching since I started collecting Barbie dolls last year, mostly late 80s-90s dolls. Great find! So happy for you. It's great when u find something you have been searching for unexpectedly. Always an awesome thing.
Your Ken with rooted hair is 1980 Sport 'N Shave Ken. The Ideal doll is Tuesday Taylor. The Barbie face sculpt changed for the first time in 1967 with the advent of Twist 'N Turn Barbie. She was available in four hair colors. The 'Marlo flip" Twist 'N Turn Barbie was on the market beginning in 1969. Walk Lively Barbie was sold in 1972. Living Barbie was available in two versions, 1970 and 1971. Sweet 16 Barbie was sold in 1973. Stacey was introduced in 1968. Malibu Christie was sold starting in 1974. Quick Curl Kelley is from 1973. Live Action P.J. is from 1971. There is no "Living P.J." P.J. was first introduced as Talking P.J. in late 1969. Twist 'N Turn P.J. came along in 1970. Quick Curl Miss America is from 1973. The brunette version was only available for a short time, the blonde was pictured in the retailer catalogs as late as 1979. Walk Lively Miss America was only available in 1972. "Action Accents" Living Barbie was only available with 'titian' (ginger) hair, but other Living Barbie dolls were sold with the titian hair color. What is unique about this version is that the doll is made in Japan, whereas all the other Living Barbie dolls (in blonde, titian, and brunette hair) were manufactured in Taiwan. Casey came along in 1967, and the only version of the doll is the Twist 'N Turn version. Francie With Growin' Pretty Hair was sold beginning in 1970. Francie with short flipped hair is from 1970, Barbie With Growin' Pretty Hair was sold beginning in 1971. Quick Curl Francie was sold in 1973. The last Francie that was sold in stores was Malibu Francie, which was on the market as late as 1977. Hair Happenin's Francie was sold beginning in 1970. Black Francie (called "Colored Francie" in 1967) was only featured in the 1967 catalog. This doll is a holy grail for most Mod collectors. I have the body, but not the head. The fact that you found TWO of these dolls is unheard of. Congratulations!
I have missed watching your videos too! Where did you get your t-shirt from? You seem to be lucky & get estate sales near you. Most sales unfortunately in some cities never have deceased estates with dolls, only homewares & furniture etc.
That's so cool you have a crissy doll. My mom told me she used to play with them all the time. I'm always so interested in the dolls you find. I've been collecting again. Today I got two dolls from the thrift store. I really gotta go around and find some more cause it's kind of hard.

Hi where do you buy your barbies? I love the vintage ones
Like 98% of my vintage Barbies are from estate sales, with the exception of some of the 80s-90s dolls I still have from childhood.
the brunette living barbie is so pretty! I hope to find her someday, she's my favorite
