Sir! This was most helpful. As a nursing student here in Canada, labs can be so swift and condensed that we look at 15 histology slides and a month later a have no Idea which is which. Truly grateful for this fantastic resource!

@Shepard Zane thanks for your reply. I found the site on google and I'm in the hacking process now.
Takes quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.

Fatty infiltration of organs is related to general body obesity, my parotid was probly from a lean person.

Thank you very much, you are much easier to listen to than my lab instructor.

Really helpful.. Got the basics clear before I started preparing my presentation on the parotid.. Systemic patho chapters have also come in extremely handy.. I actually listen to them on my iPhone while traveling! Thank you so much, sir, for these lectures and slide discussions. You've made pathology my favorite subject.

I spent all-night studying my textbook together with your videos for my Histology final exams (which I passed today :D) . First I felt as if I could never ever remember this mass of information about all the different cells, tissues etc. But you, Sir, reminded me to always keep it simple and never lose sight of the big picture. A million thank yous from a medical student at Charité Berlin (Germany). P.S.: If you should ever come to Berlin I would be honored to invite you for a cup of coffee :D

Wow, adipose really builds up in most places, never would have thought it also happens in exocrine glands. Thank you!

he mentions near the end of the vid, the pancreas has "islets of langerhans", which stain slightly clearer than serous secreting cells, but not as clear as mucous for example

Thanks for this video, its better than anything they tried to pull in school :)
In my histology book, the parotid gland is very rich in apipose cells scattered around in groups of 5-10. I cant see any in your specimen. Is that due to individual differences?
