I related to all of this. I was a single mom for 4 years with no support, he ended up with substance issues so he then wasn't even able to visit them. Missed weekends turned into months then years. I ended up with sole custody, met the love of my life who helped me heal so much trauma and we all just helped each other heal and grow. It has made us a strong family. I have four kids at home and two adult kids so I get it. You've got this and I'm so excited for the journey your on ❤
As a single mom who runs a household alone and owns a business, I relate to this so much! There’s been so many rough times, but I’m always amazed at how when I leave things in the hands of God….somehow it always works out!!! My girls are now 16 and 18 and I am so grateful that I kept them in their same home and always found a way to take them on vacations. You are doing an amazing job. Stay strong and never settle ❤️

This hit so close to home for me and I’ve always felt so alone being a single mom with 3 kids that also had to front all bills during my relationship with their father. I’m glad there’s a community or forum where we can share this with each other and have that support.
My life 1 year from now. I’ll be 28!!! I will have 1 year at my new job (day 3 currently). I hope me & my partner of 3 years are still going strong, maybe in talks of a baby. Not rushing tho, we are enjoying life. I hope to have been out of the country! & pray for many successes & to be down in weight 😊

I think that was so smart to keep the house as a constant. Two years ago pur family went through so many changes and our kids really struggled. Having at least one constant thing they can count on is amazing.
You are doing amazing, look amazing, and just remember when your babies are grown that they will realize how lucky they were to have such a supportive mom. You will be the root of all their happy childhood memories and they will emulate these values when they are grown. Hey you can get out of bed every morning and go to the mirror and be proud of yourself! You are doing so much being a single parent to your kids it's crazy! I could never do what you're doing. You have a beautiful home and a beautiful car and you can take your children on vacations, let alone just putting food on the table for them and also making sure they have everything they need. If he's not pulling his side of things like he is supposed to, just let it all go. It's not worth the stress over being upset that he's not helping. I should know I'm 53 and my three children are now grown and my middle son is getting married in August, and his father and I haven't spoken since our divorce in 2000. This is going to be a tough time for me. Not sure at this point what Im going to do. 1 year from now, I will finally be a wife of 9 months after being together for 19 years. Im hopefully way healthier than I am now!! I'm hopefully in therapy for my pain from my c-section feom 2014!! It's been a scene with this daily pain in my scar! I hope my kids are still thriving at school. Our oldest will be sitting his exams! So, fingers and toes crossed, he does well. I really hope our daughter is more confident within herself. Girls can be so mean to each other. I'm exhausted by their drama! I really hope I'm in a new job next year, I feel I need a big change. Also, I know how hard it is for parents to split and not talk as emotions are still so raw, but I do hope you can become friends. I had parents who would be screaming at each other every time they saw each other, and I'm quite dreading my wedding in case my mum shouts at my dad because she's still mad at him (he could literary drop a napkin and it would set her off) I wish they could have been friendly around us and got along for the 5 minutes at pick up/ drop off. You're doing amazing by your kids, and though they may not see it now when they are older, they will look back and see all the things you did for them, and they'll thank you so much for an awesome childhood ❤❤❤
Hi Bri! I don't usually post. Girl! My opinion, find a man that will take care of you for a change would be amazing. Someone who is committed and has your back. You would then have time for your businesses' on the side that you enjoy and not have all that pressure. This in turn equals more family and travel time. Try Never to let them hear you say anything bad about their Dad. Do your best to be the bigger person. It’s hard but I know it can be done. Divorce really teaches you what you don’t want in a life. You learn a lot being a single parent. Sometimes you just have to but a smile on your face even when you don’t feel like it for the children. There’s been so many rough times, but I’m always amazed at how when I leave things in the hands of God….somehow it always works out!!! My girls are now 16 and 18 and I am so grateful that I kept them in their same home and always found a way to take them on vacations. You are doing an amazing job. Stay strong and never settle ❤️

I met my hubby by chance, was single a year and kept saying I’d meet someone when I least expected it and that’s what happened. Internet want around , no dating apps and I wouldn’t let anyone set me up! Then I met him. ❤ Crazy thing is; we got engaged after just three months! Looking back; that is crazy. I would’ve made fun of other people who did that. But it just felt right. We didn’t get married for another year. Been married 29 years and going!

This hit so close to home for me and I’ve always felt so alone being a single mom with 3 kids that also had to front all bills during my relationship with their father. I’m glad there’s a community or forum where we can share this with each other and have that support.
My life 1 year from now. I’ll be 28!!! I will have 1 year at my new job (day 3 currently). I hope me & my partner of 3 years are still going strong, maybe in talks of a baby. Not rushing tho, we are enjoying life. I hope to have been out of the country! & pray for many successes & to be down in weight 😊

So happy for your healing journey Bri. As a single mom that was also the breadwinner - it has taken some time to heal and learn how to coparent successfully. You are on your way - healing yourself if the best thing you can do. I will say that it continues to get better as time goes on. I think that was so smart to keep the house as a constant. Two years ago pur family went through so many changes and our kids really struggled. Having at least one constant thing they can count on is amazing.

Hey you can get out of bed every morning and go to the mirror and be proud of yourself! You are doing so much being a single parent to your kids it's crazy! I could never do what you're doing. You have a beautiful home and a beautiful car and you can take your children on vacations, let alone just putting food on the table for them and also making sure they have everything they need. If he's not pulling his side of things like he is supposed to, just let it all go. It's not worth the stress over being upset that he's not helping. I should know I'm 53 and my three children are now grown and my middle son is getting married in August, and his father and I haven't spoken since our divorce in 2000. This is going to be a tough time for me. Not sure at this point what Im going to do. I despise him so much and jow can I be there for my son and my awesome daughter in law to be when he will be there. P$@# me off.😮😢 SS, this was a long one.

My mother lectured my dad once (at my sister's wedding) when she found out he payed for my trip to D.C. so I could attend a poetry convention. He was like, "Wait a minute ... I'm not married to you anymore. If Jared wants to do this, I support him 100%"

1 year from now, I will finally be a wife of 9 months after being together for 19 years. Im hopefully way healthier than I am now!! I'm hopefully in therapy for my pain from my c-section feom 2014!! It's been a scene with this daily pain in my scar! I hope my kids are still thriving at school. Our oldest will be sitting his exams! So, fingers and toes crossed, he does well. I really hope our daughter is more confident within herself. Girls can be so mean to each other. I'm exhausted by their drama! I really hope I'm in a new job next year, I feel I need a big change.
Also, I know how hard it is for parents to split and not talk as emotions are still so raw, but I do hope you can become friends. I had parents who would be screaming at each other every time they saw each other, and I'm quite dreading my wedding in case my mum shouts at my dad because she's still mad at him (he could literary drop a napkin and it would set her off) I wish they could have been friendly around us and got along for the 5 minutes at pick up/ drop off. You're doing amazing by your kids, and though they may not see it now when they are older, they will look back and see all the things you did for them, and they'll thank you so much for an awesome childhood ❤❤❤
Hi Bri! I don't usually post. Girl! My opinion, find a man that will take care of you for a change would be amazing. Someone who is committed and has your back. You would then have time for your businesses' on the side that you enjoy and not have all that pressure. This in turn equals more family and travel time. I am from a different generation and it is a different way of thinking. Two of my kids are grown in college and one left in high school. Wish you the best.

Bri, Thank you for sharing this update. Just a suggestion-Coparenting can be tough at times but in all things you do remember the kids are the most important. Try Never to let them hear you say anything bad about their Dad. Do your best to be the bigger person. It’s hard but I know it can be done. Divorce really teaches you what you don’t want in a life. You learn a lot being a single parent. Sometimes you just have to but a smile on your face even when you don’t feel like it for the children.
I wish you nothing but the best in your business ventures. You can do it! Just keep trying your best and that’s really all you can do. People are going to talk but unless they walk a day in your shoes they truly don’t know or understand.
