    My concept is clear now
    I always had confusion that whats the difference between common ckt and regeneration ckt
    Thank u so much☺️👍👍

    During the backward motion of the piston, the fluid flows from 4 to 3 so won't the piston get stuck on the blind end of the cylinder

  • @josephgan1262
    @josephgan1262 7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    why during the position where port P connected to 1, the fluid will not travel to 1 and 4 simultaneously?

    • @pnkworldtech2909
      @pnkworldtech2909 7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Fluid will not travel to port '4' because force exerted by the piston port '3' is more compared to the other side of cylinder port'4' , this is due to difference between area of cylinder on piston side and area of cylinder on the piston rod side.

    Isn’t there pressure port pressure will be more than return side, so how will return line oil will enter in to pressure side line?

    what if pressure goes to both end while regeneration? i think there should be check valve

    Sir, in the circuit there will be a check valve after the pump or it will damage the pump.

    Could I get a couple of questions answered.
    1. Is the force that the ram is capable of significantly reduced? I'm thinking that it is only going to be the are of the rod divided by the area of the cylinder multiplied by the pressure. This would typically mean about 30% of the force?
    2. Is the pressure on the retract stroke going to be the pressure relief pressure?

  • @alphawolf9990

    It would be really helpful if you would have explained the role of pressure gauge and pressure relief valve and how to use them in different questions. Btw thanks for the great explanation.

      Will definitely try ... Thanks

    • @susie3702
      @susie3702 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The role of the pressure relief valve is to prevent the circuit from going above a safe pressure as without it the circuit would just keep increasing the pressure until something burst which is a very dangerous situation.

    If you simulate, this will not work. How you will retract the piston to leftmost position? You have blocked port 2 of DCV

  • @susie3702
    @susie3702 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Using this system would reduce the amount of force the piston can produce, as force is arrived by multiplying pressure times area, on a normal circuit pressure is only applied to one end at a time so extending the rod you apply pressure to the head of the piston and allow the rod end open to the tank so no pressure is applied, if we use a simple number of 3 square inches for the piston area and one square inch for the rod area using 9 psi of pressure so on a normal circuit you have 3 square inches times 9 psi which is 27 pounds force on extending the rod and to retract the rod you have 3 square inches minus the 1 square inch of the rod where no force is applied which gives you 2 square inches times the 9 psi which gives 18 pounds force on retracting the rod which most circuits require,
    On this regeneration circuit what you get is on extending the rod you have the 9 psi pushing on both the 3 square inches of the head of the piston plus the 9 psi pushing on the 2 square inches on the rod end of the piston which gives you 9 pounds force on the head and 6 pounds force on the rod end so you end up with 9 pounds force minus the 6 pounds force from the rod end so you end up with only 3 pounds force on extending the rod and the normal 6 pounds force on retracting the rod so you end up loosing ⅔ of the force along with having pressure on the rod end seals all of the time insted of only when retracting the rod.
    I can see no advantage for using this type of circuit on any real world application unless you want to wast energy or lower the amount of force applied to the extending ram which you could get by just lowering the pressure relief valve setting.

    in the second case why would the piston extend the pump applies pressure on both sides

    • @hamza126789
      @hamza126789 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      pressure yes, but not force because of the difference in area, also in rela there could be check valve that only flows the fluid in one direction

    Hi there!
    How would the hydraulic power compare to the mechanical power of such a circuit?

    • @susie3702
      @susie3702 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      In a normal hydraulic circuit the mechanical power is arrived from the (area of the piston) times (the pressure applied) on exting the rod,
      on retracting it is the area of the piston minus the area of the rod times the pressure applied.
      In this circuit the mechanical power would be (the area of the piston) times (the pressure applied) minus (the area of the piston minus the area of the rod) times the pressure applied which gives you only ⅔ of the mechanical power compared to a normal circuit.

    In left most position of DCV , pressurized fluid from pump gonna enter in Port 3 and 4 as well, so piston won't move anywhere..isn't it? PLEASE ANSWER ELSE I'LL UNSUBSCRIBE CHANNEL. THIS IS BASIC OBVIOUS thing I'm asking

    • @CHINMAY_ACADEMY
      @CHINMAY_ACADEMY  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The flow entering the port 3 is PUMP FLOW + THE FLOW from port 4 .. which creates regenerative action and hence the forward motion with the higher speed ...

    • @omkarshinde2798
      @omkarshinde2798 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      CHINMAYACADEMY but pump pressure is higher than pressure in port4 line,then fluid from pump will go in Port 3anf Port 4 as well... How the low pressure fluid from port4 shall enter into high pressure line coming from pump?

    • @CHINMAY_ACADEMY
      @CHINMAY_ACADEMY  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The design made is such that some part may enter the port 4 but port 3 receives most of the discharge ....

    this is not a regenerative circuit. A regenerative circuit uses float position at the DCV center position.

    • @CHINMAY_ACADEMY
      @CHINMAY_ACADEMY  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is a basic regenerative circuit which serves the purpose of increasing the piston speed during the forward stroke ...
