mine doesnt work quite like u showed.... to start with the lights one is blue the other is orange... it wouldnt connect with my mobile automatically i had to do it manually by chosing the xiaomi wifi which again it took some time to appear.... i dont see the functions u showed on the app.... and i defo lose speed from the 100mbps fiber at home even if i m 1 meter away from router! it took ages to connect to router and was asking me to bring the device closer to router when it was litterally next to it... had a lot of trouble overall and am losing speed too which doesnt seem to be stable.... and i still cant understand why one lighjt is blue and the other is orange!!!!

Try changing your location in your Mi Home app. Try making it Malaysia. This is an issue with Mi Home app. Devices will be visible only by the country at which it's launched. So maybe this was not Officially launched in your country. So try changing the country. It should show

The ethernet port is meant to be extended from your main router to this range extender. This is to avoid signal degradation that comes from using wireless signal. You cannot plug directly from PC into this range extender's ethernet port.

this extender is good for devices that supports 5ghz on channel 36-48 which most of the phone doesn't support now a days. I bought mine but its just another 2.4ghz extender as my devices doesn't support this.

The only problem with this is that the Lan port only support 100 mpbs. If you have 500 mbps and connected the repeater directly to your modem via LAN. It will only give 100 mbps to those device connected to the repeater.

When you're using the device as Access Point. There isn't any option to set the channel, which in this case it will set to any channel potentially overlap with existing Wifi networks. At least up to the current firmware. In my case, this is harmful to overall wireless stability.
Currently testing this extender. In my case my internet provider gives me 300 Mb/s download and around 20 upload so connected directly to router VIA phone my speed is around 284 on 5g. I have placed extender in a room located diagonally to the room with router (dunno distance but walls are thick) connected to router VIA wifi 5g. Then with phone connected directly to extender VIA 5g my download is around 88 Mb/s
Im planning to test more while connected to the port. Also gonna check how much i could get without heavy obstacles via wi-fi. As of now it looks its best with speeds close to 100. Anything above can be heavy restricted.

It lessens the bandwidth when it's far away from the router, about 50% because i have a crappy room.

Mi Range Extender Pro only supports 2.4GHz and has no ethernet port. It's inferior compared to this AC1200.
