I can relate to the feeling of excitement when landing in Southeast Asia - everything feels new and you are constantly discovering new foods, sights, sounds, culture, islands, beaches, jungles, nightlife. Your brain is overwhelmed by it and it feels like being a kid again, discovering the world around you for the first time. Also, the Asian culture makes you feel at ease as they are generally friendlier with less rules and materialism like in the West.
Welcome to Thailand! Just be careful if someone try to put pressure to you to buy some stuffs. I’m Thai and I don’t want some one to take advantage of you. Have fun and safe trip!

our family is going to move and live in Thailand, I don't mind the heat been there before and also lived in humid areas being in the military. We will be getting the new elite visa for 10 years stay luckily will get that prior to leaving the US so we should have great deals like meal credits, lounge access, etc, should be fun!
Got my business visa for Japan in Bangkok, back in 1976. That really dates me. Stock up on bespoke tailoring, get your teeth fixed, computer software ... The three hubs for the region are Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore; or you can take a train to Lao via the Friendship Bridge. There's always Kathmandu, but you might want to give Myanmar a miss. I/ agree the airport at Tokyo is clean but that was the only good thing i have to say about it. I came thru there last week and had an eight hour layover. No restaurants available, just a couple of coffee shacks and they and the vending machines only accepted Japanese money. Also the vending machines did not work and it wasn't just me as i saw several other people try them with no luck. Hard finding anyone who spoke English. One guy asked me for my visa and i told him i would receive it on arrival in Bangkok, which i did.One guy directed me to a gate for my flight. I went to the gate and waited two hours for someone to show up working there. When they did show up they told me i was at the wrong gate so i went to the gate they told me. At the time of boarding i was told i was at the wrong gate and had to rush back to the gate i had first been at. I was the last person boarding my flight. The boards posting flight apparently only post right before the flight leaves. Japan was just added to my no fly list.

Absolutely Love Japanese Coke. Wonder if you walked by the food court. You made it with both bags. Wonder why your hotel in Bangkok is so tiny. If your paying that much then I bet [ like most, never me ] you did not book at least 6 wks in Advance. Sounds like it’s windy. Good Budget. Absolutely love Indian Lamb Curry. Delicious pancakes. I think I would have gotten coconut ice cream. Absolutely loved every minute
Good luck and have fun. Just have an open mind when traveling to Asia because you will not agree with all the Asian food and how they live. They serve you how they’re eating. There will be beggars and manipulators who will take advantage of the tourists. Overall about 90 percent of the people are kind and hospitality. Good video, and keep it coming.
