I did. Just 4 big field marshals. Since the front line allows about 4-6 battles. Its better to have 4 huge armies dealing massive damage at the right time.
at start you will advance slower, but deal more damage and suffer less casualties, and that will produce a snowball effect and break the stalemate. in the long run you will overrun the enemy.
In a single frontline 3 generals can perform more attacks and adavance faster than 1, but with greater risk. if your forcesare far superior, with 3 you will advance faster. but there is no point in haveing 8 small generals on a single frontline, you will ust weaken your attacks.
hm, it's supposed to be a good thing so it might actually just be the wounded soldiers not becoming dependent and continuing to fight. or it could be both@@tinoduboisen9703
Its better each day. maybe you want to wait a few months more. But as all paradox games, the more you understand it the more you enjoy it, and sicnce they keep adding complexity, there a lot of hidden efffects and things you can do to play it better, but stills requires more complexity to be great.
If you want to help please like, thanks.
So wait did you combine your entire army in one massive army when you attacked?

is there any reason to ever have a lot of small-mid size armies instead of only big ones.

"recovery rate" is the percentage of soldier pops that become dependents instead of dying
Thanks, did not know that.... but is that a good or a bad thing? a dependant eats.
