I never thought that the pycno would have a very passive gameplay, before I played very aggressive with charge, bite and tail which was powerful but since its TLC I couldn't play it anymore. but thanks to your video I understood how to play it and more it's a very interesting gameplay for a carni! Nice, i use exactly the same build just with the knochback subspecies. Tail attack is so underrated and, in my opinion, easily the best option until Pycno gets a second hind limb slot. Great fights!
I've been struggling with pycno ever since the tlc so this is a really cool build you got. Other than the active abilities what do you have for its other abilities to fit this tail-focused playstyle?
@@scorpiopede juggernaut and second wind are the best hide and sense for knockout. Most times you want to run while using knockout and trade hits, which gets you 2 stam (second wind's ability) Knockout deals 75 damage with juggernaut by the way. 50 base I also recommend approaching your opponent from the right side, as it seems easier to reach them. Knockout can also sometimes knock raptors off
@@scorpiopede I like using braced legs whenever it is available. Ldr is good but pycno already outstams 75% of the roster May as well make it able to catch up with others better
@@Kye_kaiju Unfortunately it didn't work nearly as well as I wanted. An achilo tail-rode me and I couldn't do anything about it. Don't know how you managed to fight one off it shredded me and I couldn't even outrun it.

@@Yaboieric0423 that 75% is a visual bug. In reality it's 25%, they just stated it wrong so dont sweat it. Also, knockout and charge work best with juggernaut as knockout is a sideswipe, keeping your hitbox from clashing with others. And charge just makes you go fast, so 50% free damage. Stability and juggernaut are both very good senses, some people like mouth guard too. Mouthguard is mainly only for knockback builds.
Pycno being a better stego than stego is hilarious. Don't know what the devs were thinking lmao. Can't get removed soon enough, hopefully they gonna patch it (erase it) with next big update.
Oh it's still can not out tail a steg tho, it might compete with range, but it still doesn't completely out range it, and steg can still trade shots even if it's on tail because the pycs charge tail is mostly knockback and little raw dmg
