New York (NOVA) Knicks! - NBA Trade Reaction

Mikal Bridges has been reunited with Jalen Brunson, Josh Hart, and Donte Divincenzo in a blockbuster NBA trade between the New York Knicks and the cross town rival Brooklyn Nets!
These 4 played together in college at Villanova with 3 of them winning 2 NCAA titles in 3 years.
Now they get to play together in the NBA as the Eastern Conference has a new title contender built to match up against the defending champion Boston Celtics.

The picks mean little to New York for 2 reasons
1. Leon Rose is savvy enough to turn a draft pick into 2
2. The Knicks with Mikal will contend for at least the next 6 years, which means those picks will be lows 20s at best.

Yeah… it’s a lot of picks, but I wouldn’t be worried about them either. They had a lot to play with. And the cupboard still isn’t bare. I’m most interested in the non-Nova roster decisions left to make. With OG coming back there are several questions remaining in the front court.

I disagree, for that $212 to make sense, his role by default now being the highest paid Knicks player ever will definitely increase

I just can’t see on a team with Brunson, Bridges and Randle that OG is all the sudden going to be given anything other than defense and corner 3 duties. Which is the same role he’s had his whole career. And he’s great at it. He’ll be paid handsomely for it. But he’s not all the sudden going to start running high pick n rolls just because he got a raise. IMO

OG can play the 3. But so does Bridges and so does Hart. Both will play a ton of minutes. So OG is going to be splitting his time between 3 & 4. Probably playing a lot of 4 to get to his 35 mins each night.
