Dan, thank you for appreciating Filipino artistry in the field of music. I had a privilege of recording a song with her in 2006, when i tried embarking a solo career after my stint with the Philippines' premiere vocal group - The CompanY. I asked her to record this song called "A Single Soul" which i composed along with a good friend Markel Luna. She obliged without even expecting anything in return. she told her production staff (because i coursed it through them), that she wanted to help and gave her yes. I can see myself in you how you are so in awe of her voice. you have the exact words to describe her sound, the texture, the interpretation, the HEART. thank you for being you, we Filipinos are enamored by your truthfulness in your video reactions. well, i shared that little story with you, to tell you how selfless and helpful she is to singer who would want to make it in the industry. i have embarked a career as a cruise entertainer for production shows of Royal Caribbean International. that song which we recorded eventually won an AWIT (it's the Filipino counterpart of Grammy) for best R and B, and i owe it to her how she rendered the song. she was very gracious and giving during recording, it's never about her. GOD bless your heart and i hope you can come to the Philippines and watch her perform, it will all be worth your while.
i hope we can hear your works as well. Filipinos are very supportive of great artistry and musicianship. You are blessed and i guess you'll be an instant celebrity when you come here because people know you as one of Regine's hugest video reactor of a fan.

The night of this concert, sh was running a fever and had almost lost her speaking voice. But the professional in her said go on with the show. And what a magnificent show it was ... I was there. And that standing ovation she got for this number lasted 8 minutes. !!!

hello i was in the concert that night and she is actually very sick that day very sick that there's an ambulance waiting outside the concert stadium ready if she pass out or something happen but man i can tell you she deliver very well

But let me just emphasize your comment - brought tears to my eyes - because that's exactly how I felt when I got to experience this melodious-prelude-to-passionate-belting-finale performance live in her 20th anniversary concert several years ago. Its my first time to see this video reaction of yours and I was crying together with you. Regine Velasquez was my ultimate idol, even up to this day. No one can compare to her because as the time goes by, her singing voice still the same. Unlike other singers, after a few years, all gone. Regine is a living Legend in the Philippines. No doubt that Jona has been the cream of the crop and the apple of the eye of belters and wanna-bees in GMA. Look at her live performances and technical rehearsal videos. GMA honed her singing prowess to the best of her abilities but it should not stop there. We are glad that ABS has molded the Fearless Diva into a Belter Diva and as a more refined person as well, without judging her physical appearance but seeing Jona beyond what our eyes can see.

I was laughing so much with the video I saw before this. when I played this video, I was looking at her, thought it would be boring or some typical performance then she started singing and I found myself crying.. She really gave justice to this song. An excellent performance, Very touching. It connected to my heart which rarely happens.
