i wouldn't trust this, there's no transparency in zim or china. what they say will always sound good. the truth, however, like real people, is messy. if you don't deal with it on front street, it's being handled duplicitously behind doors

With what is happening on the ground and a mind set changing of Zimbabweans at home and some diaspora are returning home who are bringing their expertise and at the same time with help for China, in few years, Zimbabwe is going to a different country for the better, believe it or not like it or not but the development change will be on all the corners of the country. ED's strategies are going to lure even the doubting Thomas soon because of the success stories that they will not resist that they see on their eyes.

@JOE-lp6zm best comment I heard. Exactly what is happening. I have closed my firms in diaspora to go on this winning journey. It will benefits entrepreneurs mostly than just mere jobs. I am one of those bringing expertise in the industry and have done my homework . We want to import more machinery than goods. We can't be importing food seriously. Imagine importing machines from our neighbour's and the machines actually can be bought in china and Europe cheaper. This time Zimbabwe will be known for better things. Doesn't need negative minds but positiveness from its citizens. Grab more opportunities than the funders and let them invest in what you have already started. Let's go.

Tremendous transformations in Africa as quoted in the conversation. That's great.
If all the African nations & China & the rest of the world are doing well and moving into a right direction, this will be a bonus to EU countries.
Currently, the West are all mostly in doldrums particularly Europe. US also not quite well in some ways.
If the West is to reenergising its Economy again at some point in the future, it is best that Africa Economy is doing ok as purchasing power rises will contribute more towards demands ( for anythings - eg. Assuming Today, 30 millions Chinese tourist visiting Europe & in the future another 30 millions African tourist visiting Europe. It is possible as they're nearer therefore much cheaper . Can you immagine that, Europe is receiving 60 millions tourist in a year )..
What will Europe aspires for if the rest of the world are in doldrum like they do. If all their surrounding are in dire, what would EU aims for ?. Now, EU are talking about competitive transformations. Even if EU are in good shape but their surrounding are not, what will you achieve ?.
Almost all, G7, Middle East, Japan, S Korea, Aust, NZ, etc are all in pessimistic zones. & besides, they're a matured Economy.
After second world's war USA thrives & gains glory like never before. When comes into 70ties, they began to crawl & straggle. Then they spotted China. Do you think this is by coincidence?. No, it was by after thought & thourough studies. They need economic space. So they built economic space in China. They knew, they are choking & besieged by the Japanese, so they found a way to besiege China and go forwards.
So, the success of Africa through China's investment in which would be a new markets for all. Also, africa may seek to invest elsewhere. Ofcourse time will tell.
Somehow, some new growth must be created for economic space. Many thanks to Africa China cooperation that enliven the economy for greater all. On one part, we're having a ruffling on economy & on the other part we have BRI & Brics to lift it up - is a matter of Ying & Yang for economic sustenance. You have tearing only & without building, that would not work , instead it entails failures.
    For better world
Disclaimer - based on value judgment & conciousness raising

We understand the partnership with China, but let us start working on ourselves first, if not these partnerships will not work for us (for Zimbabwe). Before we can engage in any meaningful lets work on establishing: working institutions; working systems: and infrastructure. Lets do away with corruption and all these other bad habits that our leaders have, otherwise all of this will only benefit China and nothing for the people of Zimbabwe.

Zimbabwe’s approach to its relationships with other countries, especially Western nations, needs rethinking. While the West has cut ties and imposed sanctions on Zimbabwe for various reasons, the government's response-often stubborn and heavily reliant on China-is not ideal.
President Emmerson Mnangagwa should focus on rebuilding connections with Western nations while still keeping good ties with countries like China. A balanced foreign policy, like the one South Africa uses, would allow Zimbabwe to benefit from investments and support from both the East and the West. Western countries still offer valuable investment, technology, and aid that Zimbabwe needs for its economic recovery.
Instead of constantly criticizing the West, Zimbabwe should try to improve these relationships and create a more welcoming environment for investors. This balanced approach would help address the economic difficulties Zimbabwe has faced over the last 30 years. With limited options available, Zimbabwe must adopt a more practical and inclusive strategy in its foreign policy.

Let past redress of land to its rightful owners, not shroud your judgement. Africa has woken up. We have minerals and are doing away with neo colonizers. Let there be an abundance of the likes of Ibrahim Traoures. Post usa n usd petrodollar empire, Africa shall rise to the detriment of its erstwhile colonizers. Choose a side.
