So does max equip load prevent the curved sword flip slash kick (left stick forward flick + r1)? Cause wouldn’t farming a scimitar or falchion from the skeletons at firelink give a better mobility option from the start? You mentioned the falchion at one point when in blighttown but it never came up again.
It makes you go backwards sure but iirc it was a fair bit of distance and also pretty quick
Edit: just checked and even at max equip load the curved sword flip slash (kick input) still works and is in fact faster than the r2 spam with more distance. Guess it was more entertaining this way, but still a shame imo it wasn’t utilized or even mentioned for this run
Edit 2: for consistency/ease of use, rebinding kick to another button on controller to make its input not be a headache will save sanity from it just coming out as a normal r1 for improper timing
The falcion did come back up, it was his main melee weapon for the last 3rd of the game.
@@Luckysquirrel1256 no it wasnt, he used the painting guardian sword and made it crystal. Its also a curved sword class but he never mentioned or utilized the flip slash on that one either
Curved swords have busted R1s w/buffs, Falchion is a good backup instead of (farming) the PGS.

Turns out Hellkite Dragon's fire attack on the bridge didn't kill you because
1) you weren't blocking, which would've given you more chip damage before getting knocked down.
2) you weren't running, which would've made you take counter damage from the fire.

Btw when using a Transient Curse (or no Curse) the ghosts ignore your armour. That's why they hurt so much. If you're actually cursed this doesn't happen.

S+ tier work, skeleton. Don't you dare go hollow. I love your content and challenge runs. The only real challenge run I've performed is a soul level 1 playthrough. I definitely would not have the patience and probably skill to do this type of run. Fun editing as well. I certainly was unexpectedly hooked for the entire challenge run.

I didn't skip ahead yet but you can get the master key without jumping. Going around behind the axe hollow, you can drop down to the bridge underside. No jump needed

Only thing I would do differently is upgrade and use that black knight shield for the huge stability bonus over using grass shield. Wouldn't work well for a challenge guide like this though because it's random.

Actually how I beat it the first time
My PC was so bad that it ran ds1 windowed in 15 fps rendering rolls almost unusable for newbie me
So I just took havel's, FaP and most massive shields I could find
And cleared the entierty of the game with
If I had any advice, I'd say go for Gwyndolin before the archives. You can buy their crown from Domhall, and it gives you a 10% magic damage boost without the penalty to magic damage absorption the Dusk Crown had. That's basically the only place it matters, but it matters.
