I don't think it's smart to automatically believe an accuser. From a legal standpoint, a plaintiff must PROVE their claim. The defendant doesn't have to prove that they are innocent. Social media rumors and theories are NOT proof. I'm all for victims pursuing justice and expecting a thorough investigation when they have reported personal harm. But that investigation extends to the victim too. It should just be expected. Also, unprovable claims don't make you less of a victim. It doesn't even make you a liar. I'm all for victims pursuing justice and expecting a thorough investigation when they have reported personal harm. But that investigation extends to the victim too. It should just be expected. Also, unprovable claims don't make you less of a victim. It doesn't even make you a liar. I'd just rather we not hype the victim up with false expectations of blind belief. Not everybody will get next day settlements and sympathy like Cassie.

The victim being able to leave is a common thread with these civil cases. It seems like after the perpetrators bust that “O”, they don’t care what happens. The victims are dazed, in pain, gather their clothes and leave. It’s weird to me too but it’s a common story with a number of these victims. And the victims are drugged. They’re incapable of pushing the abuser off of them.

The dad is the type of dad that causes their child to become a victim of things.
