    From a arsenal fan.
Watching this brings just joy and massiv respect for west ham. You created several international players and I hope you will continue that path.
It’s such a privilege for me as a arsenal fan to have now one of your greatest players at our club.
Massive respect to all of you.

I don’t like all this Arsenal West Ham drama I’m a Gooner and I have seen some Arsenal legends Don the claret and blue and always wanted the best for them as I have always respected West Ham and their fan base, Nicky is a top guy. Glad it’s over and we can all go back to hating Tottenham as a priority in life.

A lovely message my friend. It's going to be VERY difficult to see Dec play in any other colours apart from Claret and Blue but football is always in a state of flux and things change...not always for the better...but it does change. You have on your hands now a MAGNIFICENT player....a Rolls Royce of a player...but a very good man too. He will overnight become a better player as he is surrounded by better players. As a Gooner I apologise for the many idiot fans we have online. As a club we’ve seen many players that we’ve loved over the years leave and it does hurt to see them at other clubs especially rivals. At least Declan has carried himself well in all of this and it’s clear West Ham will always have a special place in his heart.

Fair play mate, Arsenal fan here but I respect that as a West Ham fan this situation must be hard. Once in a lifetime player like Declan Rice don’t come around often. You guys have ambitions as fans and it’s a shame that the club you support don’t have the same passion for the club. We have felt like that for years. This Declan Rice signing is so significant in my opinion for the future of Arsenal football club. We now have belief that we can go and challenge properly. He’ll be appreciated here at Arsenal. Today was an emotional day for me... Declan Rice to me in my era of supporting West Ham was like supporting & having an attachment to a modern day hero. I had the privilege to actually DJ for his birthday last year & he's such a normal genuine guy. How can you stop someone like him from being ambitious when we can't exactly give him what he wants. Bit like Harry Kane at Tottenham he most definetly needs to move on to win bigger & better things. Nicky was bang on with his comment... We have a board / owners who are just content with sitting in the middle of the league. I hope us winning the conference league turns a new leaf & i really hope we can bring in some ideal replacements like Alverez & most importantly James Ward-Prowse to fill that captaincy role. Regardless i will always support Declan whatever he does... fantastic player & wish him all the best!

As a lifelong Arsenal fan who has lived only minutes away from both Highbury and the Emirates Stadium during the past 40+ years, Nicky, I want to commend you for your heartfelt message and to say a massive "Thank You" to the proud supporters of West Ham United for giving us the opportunity to have a wonderfully accomplished young footballer like Declan Rice begin what we all hope will be another exciting and exceptionally entertaining chapter in his playing career thus far. I apologize for those other Arsenal "fans" online who are only interested in starting petty and ridiculously childish arguments with the Hammers faithful, instead of giving West Ham credit and applauding them and their fans for the fantastic work that they have all achieved in helping to make Declan Rice grow into the outstanding young mercurial talent that he is today and I hope, along with many other true Arsenal fans the world over, that this great young man will go on to achieve many more fabulous things during his time with us in the famous red and white shirt. I wish you and the West Ham faithful all the very best for the future and I cannot see to see what happens next in the career of Declan Rice.

I think whats impressed me most about Rice, is that he wants to achieve something great but from his interviews he doesnt want it to be easy. He wants to put in the graft and really push the boundaries. He could have easily forced the move to city and could guarentee glory for years to come with little challenge, from what I have heard from him is that it means more to him to resurrect a sleeping giant and work his socks off to get sucess. This issue started when some west ham fans feel like Declan is a bigger player than arsenal. Banter aside, arsenal and west ham arent on the same level & not even rivals. Yes we have been through our own wilderness & are back to being the 3rd best team in English football. Where were man city when arsenal were winning titles?, Chelsea only won their first title in 2004, Liverpool are the 2nd biggest club in England but only won their first title in 30 years. Man utd have been one of the best teams in the past 30 years, yet have not won the league since 2013. At the end city won't dominate English football forever, and the most well placed team must be ready to take over...

Rice has become a beast at arsenal but we shall always remember where he came from...he loves West Ham because he understands we are where we come from... We will take care of him and respect West Ham as he does.

Another arsenal fan here- can only echo the sentiments of other Gooners and commend you for such a classy response. Yes it’s football banter and yes we too have our fair share of bell ends online giving it the big’un. We’ve had our best players leave for pastures new and it has hurt but thankfully (for us) we’re on the positive end. I hope Gooners appreciate Declan and what he will bring to us and I expect the games between our clubs to be as spicy as they’ve always been- before there was a Declan Rice. 😊
    All the best

well done Nicky, we all loved Declan which is why this transfer hurts so much, i don't think it would have hurt so much if he had gone to Citeh to "win things" which would have been the smart way to go. he was tapped up will anything be done NO! i cant remember being as sad as this since Geoff Hurst left to go to stoke (yes i'm that old, i met sir Geoff later in life when i was a chauffeur and i asked him about the transfer and he said it was the worst decision he had made in his playing career) i hope Declan has a great career but wins fuck all apart from our European cup, COME ON YOU FUCKING IRONS

As a torn Arsenal/WHU fan, I have to say I feel lucky to support both clubs and I don't mind being judged for it.
WHU fans are wrong to feel bitter about this. This was always happening, he delivered you a trophy, he was the nicest he could possibly be about this transfer. You owe him nothing and he is a West Ham legend and always will be. You cannot deny that.
On a different note, I really hope Soucek proves 99 per cent of you wrong this season and becomes a West Ham legend as well. I know he can.

This is a very good depiction of what most West Ham fans are… classy! Well done Nick, I’m an Arsenal fan but I’ve been following the content of WHFTV for a couple of years now because I love how you guys support your club through thick and thin. I must admit, I was a little disappointed in the goodbye content from the club. Considering Declan captained the side who won the first trophy in decades and was sold for £100M+ which West Ham have benefitted from, the messaging from Sullivan speaking on "no player being more important than the club" could have been left out, but each to their own.
You’re absolutely right when you say we’ve also experienced losing our best players to rivals but as the old saying goes: Don’t be sad that it’s over, be happy that it happened and you all got to witness it!
Wishing you and West Ham all the best for the season ahead. ♥👊🏾

Personally I think there has always been a good relationship between the clubs of Arsenal and West Ham. There have been plenty of players to have worn red and white and then take the claret & blue. I think your video is an honest assessment of the situation and a bitter sweet goodbye to a favoured son of the hammers. What maybe you can take some pride in is that he is going off to work with a manager who has a glowing and growing reputation for getting the best out of players. Therefore Declan's journey will continue on an upward trajectory. Arsenal see him as the midfield general which continues the tradition of Patrick Viera, and that isn't bad company to be in. I hope the hammers spend the money wisely and build their team too. It's the kind of money that can make a real difference. Good luck with the season ahead Hammers.

Arsenal Fan here. Nice honest take thank you for sharing but I think if other WH fans share your same view on Arsenal move being a mistake or were a one season wonder then you haven't been playing attention. Declan sees it, Saliba saw it, Havartz saw it and the fans at the Emerates are very aware - something is happening here and it's because Arteta has been backed big by our board, the fans love the team and the results speak for themselves. I'd love to see the same level of commitment from the WH board and see them back at the top, but Rice knows Arsenal are back and winning

    From an arsenal fan here.
I agree with you in this video, especially with the opinion that you have about Arsenal fans, I don’t understand the bitterness of this fan base that West Ham fans will be happy about this move. Were we happy when Van Persie left, no, so why do we expect West Ham fans to be happy. On another point, you have come across very well in this video, not falling into the trap of stooping down to the levels of certain people of this fan base. Also I don’t think you can question Declan Rices love for West Ham. He has dealt with this situation perfectly even expressing his gratitude to West Ham, but as you said he has a ambition to play champions league football, which is what we have next season.

Gooner here great video. Declan rice will improve our team and squad.
We will go close again this season but city are still the clear favourites. Hopefully the money you get will be invested properly back into squad but that’s not historically Sullivan s way but let’s hope he changes his way.
Honest and fair summary and that’s great. He has to be in consideration for a legend of West Ham he brought a European trophy to the club another title in a season where you had few positives he was respectful and seemed honest and genuine and he gave his all on the pitch to the final day. Hopefully before and after the matches against us the majority of West Ham supporters can shown him the love, during of course you don’t he’s a rival player that’s totally understandable.
Good luck with the upcoming season and look forward to the matches against you this season

Thank you for this, Nicky. We really need balanced and pragmatic view like this, not just in the fanbase, but as football fans in general. There are some ridiculous, surface level, partisan views out there. I believe people are entitled to their opinions, but it's hard to make a fair assessment when you are looking at things through a single lens - one that's completely about you. We do tend to view things in life based on what they are doing for us.
I actually wanted to ring in to TalkSport earlier as Jason Cundy was talking (what I feel) was nonsense. I don't think this is a binary issue. I can wish Declan well whilst ultimately always wanting West Ham to do well. Both can be true. It irritated me how they were presenting the argument that you 'can't wish him well', as if everyone HAS to see things they same that they do.
We're human beings. We get connected to things, people and events emotionally. I'm glad to have witnessed Declan's growth as a player and as a man. I think he's a class act. This chapter has come to an end. I believe him to be honest, and he's kicking on. Fair play to him. Best of luck (not to the detriment of West Ham).
As you said, life moves on! The thing that does irritate me is the way that the Club posted all of these tributes with a weird tone like he'd died. A decent goodbye would have sufficed. Now, let's concentrate on the present and the FUTURE. I believe the fee that he commanded might well allow us to buy 3-4 players that will actually improve the balance of the side :)

I definitely do not take pride in my club "taking" Rice away from West Ham. I take pride in my club actually acting like a big club by signing one of the best players in the Premier league. In my opinion, Declan is EXACTLY what Arsenal need to kick on and challenge City again. We all have clubs we dislike more than others. West Ham has never been on that radar as far as Im concerned. I was cheering them on in the Final. I cant say I would have been doing that for many other Premier league clubs. One thing I will say about Declan is that he seems to be a man of integrity. Not many would turn down a move to City. He knows he will win trophies there next season. Its definitely not guaranteed at Arsenal next year. However something is happening at the club. I cant get used to seeing him in the Arsenal colours and Im an Arsenal fan. But I'm certainly not poking fun at West Ham fans. Declan will always have West Ham in his heart and I will never think any less of him for that. Just my 2 cents.

I also feel like if it really was all about playing at the highest level and growing to be the best player he can be, he'd have joined Man City or even Bayern. Not a rival.
