Child safety locks have been around for 20 years.. that is the first thing one checks..

I might be the only one with this issue but, I did all that, took the child safety lock off and the door opens from the inside like it should. My issue is that when I unlock the door using the power doors buttons, the rod that controls the door on the inside doesn't move unless I manually pull it out. Is there anyway to fix that issue? Or has anyone else fixed theirs?
