Another little naiad trick: While you're camping and a survivor comes, you can pretend to throw your harpoon and they will rescue. Quickly press the harpoon button than quickly cancel and most times you'll get a terror shock :).
Another thing; if you're not sure that the survivor is gonna get trapped once you recall the harpoon and there's a considerable distance between you and the survivor don't recall it yet and use it to close distance, there are many players who know how to counter naiad so they will be transitioning a lot as well as predicting which area naiad will trap and going the other way. In this case you either change target to a survivor who doesn't excel at transitioning or use harpoon mainly to close distance instead of trying to trap area, it won't work especially if you're chasing a good transitional kiter ex. Emil Also, I think peepers are most effective against good loopers/looping in general (because they slow down the looper making it easier to catch up and also make them visible to your to you so that you can cut their route) and naiads whole ability hard counters looping and you can slow down decoding + vaulting speed with humidity so I think she doesn't need them that much. I don't know maybe I'm just biased because I never liked peepers cuz they barely ever helped me😓
i understand the peepers thing its all just personal preference! most high tier naiad gameplay ive seen on youtube is peepers so thats why i switched to them, i used to hate peepers too and now i would much rather use them over the other traits. i also mostly just use peepers to slow decoding/place at chair when im not camping/see when surv transition in areas with high walls!! they can be used for way more than just people who loop you just have to be placing them constantly and in the right scenarios. thank you for adding the first part though i appreciate it! ^ _ ^
I find Peepers to be a better trait for late game because Naiad is able to place them while she is swimming. She can basically dash around the map to set up security cameras that slow down survivors, it’s pretty neat. Having information like that, as well as the movement speed and decoding slowdown, makes Peepers really good for pulling out a win through late game pressure.
Peepers do a ton more than just the visibility. I wish the game did a clearer job at showing the exact debuff stats. I’ve seen yt vids showing how much of a debuff they put on speed, vaulting, healing, and decoding. Peepers are seriously undervalued. I always drop one on a downed survivor while I go try for a free hit on someone else or if I get a double down on rescue and need time while I chair one.
These seem super cool strats and build ideas! I started maining Naiad last season and ended it at 91st but wanted to keep climbing and learning. I was using a standard 3/6 build but wow this has opened my eyes to how many awesome ways to play Grace are out there! This guide has been very helpful, glad I stumbled upon it!
Naiad was a hunter that I bought, I didn't know how to play, but I learned on my own, and currently I play particularly well with her, there are times when I only won a tie with her, but over time this tie turned into victories with a lot of terror shock, and i'm proud of my evolution your video gave a lot of good tips, thank you
same! i learned her myself and it took a while to start turning those ties into wins. knowing how to stop rescues from happening is probably one of the most important things to get wins as her imo! im glad my tips helped you out
Thanks so much for a video! Im new as Naiad and just got her a tier, so i wanted to practice more and there’s ur super helpful guide!! U’r such a great Naiad, appreciate your skills!
Hello!! It's been a while since you posted, but i wanted to know if the new trait (the blue portal thing) is good for her!! Awesome video, helped me a lot these days♡

12:59 I don recommend holding the skill because it can slightly decrease your movement speed but it can give you time where to put the harpoon
turns out i was just playing her wrong this whole time, this video helped! tysm
theres no wrong way to play her as long as it works for you, but im so glad i could help! i hope u enjoy playing as her

thank you for the subtitles
The reason for my asking, is due to crackling/distorting soft, whenever the drum/snare, or whatever is playing. TNice tutorials was the case off
