bruh after seeing chili, this is still the best directed performance from all the street woman and men fighter series like lee jung really knows how it's done. from the formations to the lighting to the transitions to the camera work like hands down 👏🏼

Just saw the chili music video and went straight here and couldn't help but compare. I felt the exact same. I'm not mad that 1M won by any means, but I feel like if JAM or maybe even Bebe directed the music video, it could have been better. Lee Jung did really well with direction, and I couldn't help but notice how much higher quality it is in comparison to chili especially with the transitions.
Who came back here after watching Chili MV? Lee Jung of YGX did excellent as the performance director. The lighting, the camera angles, the blockings, the formations, the transitions, the mv set is really cool + choosing every part for each crew? That's insane. Idk if she also chose those, if so, that's perfect to shine each crew. THE HOOK PART IS SO INCREDIBLE EVEN I WATCHED FOR THE NTH TIME. It was THE BEST SWF MV (FOR ME.) (FOR ME.)

I remember Leejung used something like AutoCad design for their flooring choreo, and the fact that she holds Mensa (IQ above average) and should be an architect for her talent, wow this is TMI.

Chili is good, but it was the setup that bothered me. Some parts were dark, and I could barely see some of the dancers unless they're front. The sequence was fast, too, so it was hard to keep up, unlike Cold Blooded's MV.

Coming back to this epic mv and realized that the thing abt this that made it so good was because it is COHESIVE. The transitions between choreos is seamless that it felt like it is the original choreo. Also, the simplicity of the setting made the dancers shine more. Kudos to the production team and all the teams of swf1 for making this 🔥🔥

Huge respect to Jessi and PNation. They are so deeply rooted in the hiphop culture. They really respect every SWF teams. There is no doubt that PNation can pull out a higher budget MV which focus on Jessi herself and share some screen time with SWF teams. But no! PNation and Jessi decide to get rid of all the uncessary flexing and only focus on the delivery of the dancers, team by team. Jessi only show up in the last minutes and vibe with the dancer together. Mann after watching chilli I was like mann it didn't reach to level of this like I was expecting much more 😫 here the camera angles are so good the lightnings are perfect I mean it changes with beats and u can clearly see the dancers faces and there moves as well as the choreo too They justified there portion but in chilli its not about the quality of camera the way its taken the song comparatively is slower than this but the camera had so swift and unnecessary movements and then the lightnings where bad and the location also the choreo it lacked too . Lee jung really did a great job directing this one 👏 🙌
What I love about Jessi is how she gives her viewers confidence just by watching her. She empowers her fans and also her staff and dancers which is refreshing in a world of idols being front and center while dancers are forgotten. She really means what she raps and sings. I look up to her & I'm just a 24 yr old living in the Midwest. I'm excited to see where else she goes! Thanks for giving us all a microgram of your confidence, Jessi!!

The transitions in this are seamless. Not just the camerawork and editing, but most importantly even the choreography from each crew transitioned so well and came together as a whole even though each had different styles and vibe.
This is iconic and have much better camera work than the recent season. Especially the shots with everyone's dancing, you can still identify the dancers from all angles. 😍 Goes to show the capabilities of Lee Jung's direction and production teams effort.
Jessi has said she's not a good dancer and that she wanted to do an MV with the dancers getting the recognition and NO ONE DISAPPOINTED. Clearly everyone knew what the assignment was not to mention how humble Jessi is as a person. People forget what her background is and even in hard times you can tell she's grateful for all the people who has her back as she expands on her musical talent in her ✨EPIC✨ songs 😩

Hwasa's Chilli is great and 1Million's choreo is actually great too! It definitely suits Hwasa, no doubt about it. But the impact of this song, the production of this MV, the direction Lee Jung took to make every group shine, not forgetting the charisma Jessi exuded (including everyone's too!). This MV is UNBEATABLE. Idk if they have the same production team, but whoever is in charge of producing Chilli's MV should learn something from this MV frfr..(I just HATE the last segment of Chilli's MV like why didn't they install any lighting at the back?? Dark for no reason like I want ALL of them to shine SMH!)

Come here after watching chili. Lee Jung did verryy amazing job as choreography director. Every team had showed their dance essence and the song and the hook dance is like a match in heaven. And my gurl Jessi voice and the song is the bomb. Not saying hwasa didn’t do a great job but something missing in that Chili MTV
Well definitely it wasnt hwasa.
It was the show definitely.
What I noticed between the two MV’s is that the cold blooded MV gave chance to other team’s choreography in the second chorus part of the song instead of repeatedly using the YGX chorus choreo, and it made the entire MV a lot unique and satisfying to watch. It doesn’t feel repetitive unlike Chilli’s.

After watching this and Chilli back-and-forth, I realise what makes this more exciting is; This is a Dancer's Performance. None of them is toning it down, and all the dance move is iconic and memorable. In the Cilli case, it's more like Idol-Dancer Performance. It's not bad tho. But the level of energy is totally different with this.
I remember all the backlash she was getting for making an appearance on the show w/ Psy like, "Why is she there?" "She's not even a dancer-" etc. And then she drops this new M/V pretty much putting all the attention on the dancers, only coming out near the end. The spotlight and exposure to get them more attention. I hope those people feel silly now for putting bad energy out.

The reason they criticized Psy and Jessi is that they know what Mnet has done in survival programs so far. So they don't hesitate to make a wrong guess because they think dancers who don't get preferential treatment may become backup dancers again.
@@m.k6824 the mv director who happens to be a dancer too has expressed disappointment on the backlash. he felt it was so wrong for people think of dancers that way.

Coming here after watching Showterview with YGX and I still can't believe Jessi wrote this song on one day and YGX choreographed this song in one day! I love these talented women! I think this is the best that can one can create under one day, it doesn't even look like it took them this short.
Edit: I know they choreographed only the chorus. The point is that their choreography became viral and became a trend.
