I finally finished this pack. With your helpful guidance, of course. I confess, I did 'spin off' the crankshaft pully shaft (repaired with liquid weld). Who would have thought? Vegetable oil was the answer! Thanks again. See you in pack 5!
Hi sir, I'm watching you from Greece and it's the first I'm building something like this.Excited for the next shipments to come.Subscribed for all the next following.
I'm getting a big kick out of this. 😂 They sure didn't have this big of an assortment of kool hobbies when I was young. Works out well because I have the money now to enjoy them. Thanks for sharing.
Have you ever given thought to doing the Titanic it’s a really detailed working engines etc.. I ordered your style of building would be been beneficial in this build. Who knows it could increase your visibility
Thank you for the informative videos. I use them while I'm building this model. I'm one of the people who broke off the shaft while installing the pulleys. After ordering another replacement part I noticed the pulleys are assembled according to the instructions. However, the pulley assembly is installed the opposite way that is assembled. I put some silicone on the shaft and it just slid right on with no effort. Hope this helps.
Thats entirely up to you, the motor represented is the 368 CID OHV V-8 Engine - Continental Mark II - and represents the right colors on the kit, see link: bid.goodingco.com/lots/view/1-7S8T6J/1956-continental-mark-ii - Some of the accessory's could be repainted as per photo references. I am building this for FanHome so I'm not modifying this kit.
No problem, I've seen a few people paint theirs on various Batmobile Facebook groups, many of the replica Batmobiles are painted but not true to the original Batmobile. classiccars.com/listings/view/1003550/1966-batmobile-replica-for-sale-in-auburn-indiana-46706
I started building the etco1 and I had an issue with building the hinges for the hood where I had to adjust it a couple of times . Maybe it was just me , I’m a newbie when it comes to building these collectibles
Are you referring to the Jet exhaust in the back of the car? It was definitely fantasy and a special effect used for the classic 1966 TV show, the real car never had a Jet Engine under the hood or bonnet.
@@ScaleModelKitReview About as much fun as filming the set about sideways and pretending they are "climbing the wall". Got to admit, the "bat-copter" and the "bat-boat" were a lot of fun to look at. And the "bat-cycle" with it's detachable side-car was really a thrill to watch!

I did the same 🤪, I used some brass rod to repair the shaft. I didn’t film it unfortunately. Thanks for your comments, and thanks for watching.
I very much like that they used the original Lincoln 368 Y-Block. It even has the top-float Holley "teapot" 4-barrell carburetor!

Welcome aboard!

You and me both!
I just ordered mine today.
Outstanding, watch my build to refresh your memory and any tips I may give. Enjoy the build.

The Lincoln Y block is actually a truck engine. The chassis was not a Y frame, but a "cow belly" frame, built by Hess and Eisenhardt of Cincinatti.
Great info, thank for commenting.

Great video. I just received pack 4 and will be building it very soon.
Hope you enjoy it!
I'm getting this model, but I haven't started it yet. Do you think parts of the engine should be painted?

@@ScaleModelKitReview Thanks for the info. I would have never found out on my own. I'd just never seen an engine so nearly monochromatic.

Got my pack the other day with posters, mag storage unit and mide, parts. Sadly no instructions.
Packing dept needs to get there act together.
We are all human, I'm sure you will get them soon.
I was thinking about getting this model but I'm doing too many now as it is
I know exactly how you feel.
I hope the hinges for the hood won’t be a problem,
Why you say this?
I started building the etco1 and I had an issue with building the hinges for the hood where I had to adjust it a couple of times . Maybe it was just me , I’m a newbie when it comes to building these collectibles
The hood for this is hinged from the front of the car, so it's totally different design.
I wonder about the aft end, the exit bore for the "engine", WTF is this for? Another example of "special effect"!
