Many years ago I used to go to one GW store that, believe it or not I would find exactly what I needed there. My Lhasa was 16, and blind. I was thinking it would sure be nice if I could find some kind of a buggy to get her out safely for fresh air, sunshine and wind in her face. What I walked up to in the aisle was a brand new in the box pink doggy stroller. The price was $25.00. I bought it. I saw later that it sold on line for $75.00. Best thing I ever found there.
Another one in the bag! Great video Mikey! I always do the GDubs Wally World comparisons. Always showing my kids their money can go a lot further for quality items at GDubs vs WW. Might want to check out the hen on nest at timestamp 28:28. Not sure if it was ceramic or slag, but these little guys sell well for me. I imagine a red one would do well. Thanks Mikey!!
You hit the nail on the head when you said Goodwill return policy is suspect …. As in non existent …. But I think it depends who you are because I’ve watch them return stuff for people they stand there talking to as they create a long line. Walmart on the other hand you can return no problem. Often especially when seasons change like after Christmas you can get great deals at WM. This past weekend they had 3 racks in the main aisle on clearance for $1 and $3. It looked like they found a big box of shorts in the back in women’s plus size $1 each. Camo pants were $3. Only time you see $1 on clothing at GW is on $1 Monday color of the day. Jeans at GW are often $10 up to $24. Brand new vs used, return vs non return able, stain free vs you better get the magnifying glass out. I do shop thrift shops when I really like what I’m looking at.
I also watch those pickers that shop the Walmart clearance section. There are even more hidden pricing when they scan the sale items. The marked prices aren't always the lowest it goes.
Back in the day, my son had just landed a tech job in Seattle and needed some new clothes for his job. He didn’t have any money, so we drove to Seattle and went to Value Village. His girlfriend turned up her nose at that bc she only shopped at Nordstrom’s. When we got back to their place and she saw all the brand name clothes he got for about $100, she was amazed. She decided she should check out VV.
Thanks Mickey for the price comparisons between GW & Walmart. The summary you gave was fair to both; both places are meeting needs of consumers. I personally would be at a loss without them. Thanks. Blessings
I bought a fancy dress at macys for a wedding for $200 which was about the average price. Found a better one at a small thrift for $18 new with tags. Macys dress went back. My goodwill sells coffee mugs $4-8. Crazy
Got your noodle of a head on ya ! ❤ Mikey Bags geting into the adds game ! ❤ thank you cuz your forgetting if your kid have to have school uniforms GWs will often be the better choice, Big -w know what they have untill the people speak much like your doing !❤ blessings on your hunts!
Thrifing cloths is the way to go for well-made items. Be sure to wash all farts out before putting in your drawer. I draw the line at undies and shoes 😂

Its really not fair to compare Wal-Mart to Good will prices because if you buy a used Coffee maker you need to spend another 5.00 worth a vinegar to clean and at walmart you have warranty. I am not a big Wal-Mart fan or even goodwill fan. I do enjoy Amazon.
A coffee maker I would not buy used. Would take too much cleaning for me. I only go occasionally to GW or Walmart. I don’t need anything. Reselling can be a good side hustle though:)👍👍😊
Those shoes weren't $.99. They were $9.99. Some of those prices are ok and some I would never pay, like $25 for a used pair of shoes that they got FOR FREE! Our local thrift store had a treadmill priced at $1,500!!! I couldn't believe it! And some of the prices of the larger items and things they think are "vintage" can be absolutely insane. Just gotta know a good price when you see one. Keep up the great work!
Goodwill can be better, IF you can find your size. Big IF. As a woman who wears tall or tall plus shirts, I don't even look. Pants aren't much better; if you wear a larger or odd size, there aren't any. Size 12 new sneakers, womens Narrow ... forget it. Medically they have to be new. No option. No point looking in Wal-Mart either. I've literally walked out of Medium flats before. My foot lifted off of the floor and the shoe didn't. Most thrifts get very few 10s, and forget anything bigger. I buy from smaller thrifts on bag day and pray something in the bag fits.
27:44 You can find great deals. We found my husband and son suits for my son's wedding at Goodwill for less than 10.00 each. We also found some at another thrift store for the same price. In the stores, they were almost 200.00 each. However, other clothing is going up as well 28:36 . It was 5 years ago for the suits. Wal-Mart's prices are going up as well. You are correct about the quality of Wal-Mart products...not very good.
People pricing at Goodwill may not know their brands. You would have to go to Walmart see what they have and what brands. You could when shopping at Goodwill, look up brands for pants you like. Walmart clothes would be good to buy if you have a dollar day sale. Macy's brands at Goodwill would be good, if their in Good condition.

Working at a thrift store my kids had more and better clothes than most kids and they loved it!!
Only a few years ago our St Louis area GW had mugs for 50 cent

Hi Buddy. I just checked your 181 like thumbs-up 👍. Now to watch your escapades & listen to your dialog 😂
Somehow I dought u will ever be sponcered by the wal 😂

Hi mikeyyyy this is fun
Great video, Mikey! Thanks!
Great job
Walmart sweatshirt and sweatpants were about $7 dollars just last year😮😮😮😮😮
Maybe people will just wait till half price day if prices have gone up!
💯 but some places have eliminated discount days😥
@@MikeyBagsOfMoney It could go to the Bins.
@@MikeyBagsOfMoney Lost revenue and time sent sending it to the bins and it can get damaged and wind up in the landfills.
Got to say that Lee Jean's have an unique description. " Straight Tapered " legs . At lease they aren't call Boot cut - tapers 😂

Great comment
I wouldn't buy a pair of blue jeans at goodwill at $13 when I can buy a brand new pair for $15 At certain stores same with the black ones
I agree, and for only a few bucks more. Why save only a few bucks to buy pants someone else farted in?
Thrifing cloths is the way to go for well-made items. Be sure to wash all farts out before putting in your drawer.
I draw the line at undies and shoes 😂
Be very sure to use white vinegar to fully remove ffarts. This is free clean advice.
No Tommy Bahamas at the wal 😢
People will be bare chested

Love giving u a chuckle 😊

Oh well it's ok. There are even new unopened goods at GW. With u on the coffie machine or shoes for sure
In the past I have bought a used coffee maker and learned it was a lot of work to clean and I didn't save much.
💯there are a lot of factors that go into determining the value to someone

I know at times you can get some very good stuff to resell online at Walmart and Dollar General
That depends on what your idea of very good stuff is.

got new hybrid bike for $10 at goodwill ......retail $300 lolololololol thats a good deal good will wins
Nice! My most expensive purchase was a $100 bike from goodwill
Old stuff is usually better quality!

So many suits to be had at Goodwill for cheap
Sometimes Walmart cheaper and sometimes good will
I believe goodwill is better than Walmart, I would definitely go to goodwill, but I've been to Walmart many times.
