Agreed. It's nearly as breathtaking as the culture it was stolen from. I'll never understand how it is socially acceptable for Japan to culturally appropriate other cultures. It's not even something that has been inspired, borrowed, and or made unique overtime. It is a direct 1/1 replica of Chinese culture. Yet here we are, referencing it as *Taiko.* It's very strange to me how A: they're capable of doing this with nearly the entirety of their culture B: Japanese people can feel any pride in ownership knowing this. This coming from someone who lives in Tokyo, a d is married to a mainlander.
