Julien was strong at the start where Sha’Carri seems weak. Sha’Carri is strong on the flats but Julien did not lose steam. She remain strong from start all the way to the end. It was a good performance by Julien.

She has the ability, talent and desire. Her coaches need to work on her starts. I have never seen her good out of the blocks. Usually, fast enough to still run them down. She wld be unbeatable if she gets that corrected. Still proud of her. Love that girl!

Excellent starting for Julien Alfred. Sacharri always left behind from the starting block and accelerate at the middle race but it is to late to beat the consistent Julien. Congratulations for all the winners.
Hype and celebrate takes away from your greatness that’s the problem with American athletes. Love Sha’Carri but she was doing to much other stuff leading up to the Olympic. While Alfred was competing. Alfred looked so focused and Sha’Carri looked a little timid. The race wasn’t even competitive. Alfred destroyed the whole field. Mentally Alfred was more focused I think.

Out of focus as shacarri was overwhelmed by success caused the 2nd placed finish at the Olympics. The confidence was also boosted by the absence of the Jamaican dou powerhouse. Well, this serves as a precious lesson for Shacarri....

People laughed when I said Richardson doesn't have the mental toughness to turn up when it matters. Yes she won the world championships, but the Olympics is a bigger stage and there was a lot of pressure on her to win. Alfred simply has more determination and keeps improving at an exponential rate. I'm saying this now, Richardson's career will be short. Talent alone doesn't cut it. She doesn't possess the attitude, humility, nor mental strength to handle the media and pressure.

I have been saying for the last 3 yrs if sha didn't work diligently on her start this would happen,you can't come out of the blocks almost last always depending on your top end to run down runners, especially with a powerful strong sprinter like Julian Alfred,she runs like she's posssed, you're not going to spot her from the rear,there has to be a mental block or something with sha about these starts,in Budapest her start was good and she was even with everyone out of the blocks,if she had faltered in the blocks she wouldn't have won the world championship, because no way she was gonna run sherika or Shelley Ann down.not in this life time.
Julien' was the last runner to actually come fully upright out of the drive phase. Sha'carri was out of her drive phase before Julien. Julien's first six steps out the blocks really showed her power.

Poor start and transition on your first Olympic finals means poor preparation or over confidence. MJ ones said and this is me paraphrasing, whatever i will do in the game had been done again and again in practice so it was simply muscle memory.
