i think as community we just have to play non meta characters or at least more “unique” ones to spice up the games. If we all just do it we’ll end up eventually changing the game

Yah but kinda understand why they want to use only ex's cuz they spend about 3k for them + most players don't have that many characters and probably only save for ex's

People will always play meta in any form of competition game it will always be meta With people yes there will be People Like Us who play off meta but we are in the minority okay and the reason for this is because people are competitive I'm a competitive person I hate losing a lot so when I get on a losing streak you damn sure I'm going to start going meta pics you know because it's the only way for me to get that satisfaction of winning Which is sad
there should be quests that give rds for using non ex meta characters to incentivize the community to play them

Play serious challenge which is locked to everyone being lvl 80, and none of the EX meta characters currently having score boost, and it is still all just G5, Big Mom, Klaw, and Zoro

In lower ranks the meta doesnt even matter, it's the matchmaking system, in A- they'll put me (playing a boost 1, 4 star, old sabo) against a team full of 6 star EX's. Almost every match is fearsom foe, where my team will be at 100,000 and the opposite team will be at 170,000.
Just so you know ITS the Same in s and s+ league
In lower league, you just gotta rat your way up with a good runner. To be fair, even in SS, you gotta rat for wins most of the time because people are also dogshit here(3k SS here). People are bad and it's mostly bots from D to S-. Unless you're g5 or big mom, playing as def in lower league, you're at a disadvantage

And the craziest matchup i got was in S league
We were with less than 100k
I was at 38k ig one of was was with 17 18 k
And the opponents were close to 200k

I've been thinking the same thing. I'll be playing a maxed out Hyogoro in league and I can never stack up to any of the gear5s or kaidos or any of the meta characters. Maybe if Bandai made a ranked league mode and a casual league mode with no EXs it would solve it.
The solution is easier than you think,we just need to have ranked with maxed characters ...if you face max lets say green bull vs maxed g5 you not gonna get trashed like now when its your 5☆ boost 2 vs boost 4 6☆ g5...the issue is not the meta is the level of characters that is so unbalanced...in one piece fighting path you can solo a team with your so to say weak characters coz all stats are the same even super broken chars cant dominate that hard

If you talk about that, you might as well include medals and traits. 5* b2 Alber can still solos that g5 so can plenty if they play smart. The difference between 5 and 6 stars is not huge or significant unlike 4* compare to 5/6*. On top of that you have to include the % of support and possibly tags. Or the extra medal with good traits, 54%+ att for example. I never had a hard time winning unless my team mates are absolutely dogshit ending the game with 1-2k battle scores, I'm currently in 3k SS and I still get that. There might be better of having two modes like op said or add duo queue/ team queues
they should make a new mode where characters useable are voted on by community. literally every single character is voted yes or no

I genuinely think CB should have more challenges where they exclude EX's. I miss having the CB where you'd take all your units island by island because I actually saw ppl using BF's and step ups for the first time in ages.
Yeah fax you got a point a Love Stampede Sabo And Akainu, My favorite characters but un-useable because Akainu is pretty much countered by everyone and sabo just gets one shot by any character that ignores damage reduction or defense(almost every character played rn)
A good idea I got going in my head is that bandai should just release two separate league battle modes (unranked or even just a mode where EX characters are straight up banned) this would be a great change of pace where you could give these newer characters being released a chance to actually shine, granted people would still abuse alber and all of the other great BF's. But still just a thought of mine.

Without G5, Alber is not that much. Great BF but not as good. Cracker, Uta, Ulti, even Jack can put up a fight. Having said that, you are correct, we would get the new " meta " of BFs. But unless there is some unit who nullifies status effects, it will def be better. And OLD Units need buffs. At least speed up their normals. 😢
S+ is a Hellhole mixed with bots & Players that play worse than a bot, and One Smurf Player 💀
They should make a game mode that’s like League battle but without the score so it wouldn’t be as competitive

Maybe the best way is to matchmaking your choosing of characters if it was a step up than you should face only step up characters and just like that the meta is good again
And just fix the matchmaking I was fighting a a+ rank as a a- rank

matching for SS depends on league score so that's not going to change anything. when you get to mid-high SS, it just depends on players skills and knowledge but most importantly, it still takes at least 3 players to win a game. Meta or not, I see people still do absolutely dogshit with meta ex characters. I lost 12 in a row starting at 3.1k league score with players ending games with 1-2k battle score. Some dude got lucky yesterday winning with 2* Sanji with 400 battle score because I capped at the last second

I always enjoyed your vids Sol and you helped me get Zoro and play the meta when he came out but at least the meta back then was somewhat skill dependent. Albeit im not the best I know for a fact I would carry so many games FROM MY SKILL and with Zoro fading out of the meta and Runner king ditching the meta too it was nice to see AT LEAST SOMEONE was still getting use out of my team in your streams. Then Gear 5 came out and long story short I'm not coming back to the game untill we get a G5 counter. We've boycotted JP servers becuase of the hacker problem and now the payment we get is a fucked meta with five characters max being even playable, Not just viable as it use to be you just cannot touch the character if it isn't part of the meta. Just ranting to show support, Much love Sol! ❤❤❤

2:50 the worst thing about this new meta that started from the 4th anniversary is that when they release a new op character they counter this character with another op character and other characters that’s way too powerful than the old meta, so any units doesn’t have this kind of traits they’ll die, and that’s why you can’t play with the old units even if some of them is not too old and released last year

I used to be an S+ player but was inactive for a while recently and went down to A- and I was super surprised that even down there I’m mostly only playing against EX or hyper meta units

That's why I want variety when I play old characters, they have interesting gameplay. The same Caribou has an interesting gameplay that is well suited for team play, but it is impossible to do anything in this meta.Why try, why think if you can take Zoro or Luffy, turn off your brain and just press buttons killing everyone
I remember how the game was when gear5 was released and when it was released every match I played the enemy team had a lot of gear5 and I eventually went from league S+ to A- and it was devastating and I had like 1k diamonds and I still didn't get gear5 and I still don't have gear5 and I still don't have a single ex character and my main are Perospero and snakeman luffy and it took me like 2 whole months to get back to S+ league. 😢

You are completely right the game is not fun anymore, there is alot of character with unique skills and traits that i want to play but always get bully, finally quit the game after 4 years
It’ll be cool to see a improved rank system where the players can ban a character every game and matchmaking should be decided by the characters you play, like if you play bountyfests then you’ll get matched up with other people with similar characters. Maybe that’ll help out the meta especially for new players.
But what if i want to use 3* units but no one gonna use it? Am i gonna not getting matched up forever or i will be playing against exactly 7 same players forever?

I got this problem for a very long time now even on B leagues theres a guy with 100+ hyperboost they shoud fix matchmaking between new players and old players whose rank is low,one more dodge is buggin even if u dodge at the right time u still get hit lol
They’ve also really been buffing some old characters that made them runnable in the meta
They should add non ex game mode or you can takeout a specific characters for all your matches
May be they should have limit that ex can be used only 5 times per day kinda that helps other non ex players to play and reach their ss league

Hopefully they listen and do character based matchmaking some people bring 2* and 3* units to the game just to work on their hyper boosts but if we had character based matchmaking you can put them in games by themselves or with step up characters. All BF units stay together and all EX units stay together no matter how old or new
A big thing about the game is that once you reach SS, the meta becomes sweatier, meaning more and more people will use maxed out units.
This means that it becomes very difficult to be a 5* unit. It's a big difference between 5* and 6*. EX units are also easier to cook with baseline.
Honestly with the amount of G5’s i face against Klaw is like a 3 star those ignore def skills killed all the fun for me
I 101% agree with you on the meta thing. What's the point of having a good tough fight when the opposite team always has at least 1 g5 luffy, one ex Kaido, then Zoro , then shanks, and our team just has the usual bounty fest characters. Game doesn't even feel tough even when we lose coz in such situations, am not even able to think, how fast did we lose coz of these crazy ass characters in the enemy team. It's one side fights most of the time. Matchmaking should be at least based on similar skill level or characters each player from both the teams owns.
They should make a separate ranked mode for non ex characters with its own pass
I am using whatever gives me strongest team power. But I might try to change it away from my big mom and use other characters. Thank you for bringing this up. I will become mindful of how I play 😊

They should make 2 leagues, one that you can use EX units and the other league you can’t use the Ex units
Also I think removing the invincible on the skills on the ex units would balance them out but idk
I do use big mom but I don't spam moves, I use them to prevent flag caps and I use my normals. And I want g5 to be a happy little man
I think they should make more of those side event stuff auto leveled to 80 no medals all the time, and maybe ban ex in those events. Guarantee many people will still be able to enjoy the game and be able to play as non meta characters.
I totally agree it can get kind of stale but this is literally how EVERY game with PvP ends up going, everyone just wants to use whatever is best in order to win, it’s unfortunate but just how it is. Even if there was a mode that banned EXs, people would just use the best BFs, I wish it could be fixed but I don’t even know where they’d start with it

i really think its on us to use the non meta units, i go out of my way to try out new units and see if i enjoy any play styles. i fucking WRECK with this new franky and its done some major moves for me when it comes to creativity in the game for me. thats just one of many examples that goes to shwo how fun this game can be without going crazy with some random EX

Man i swear i thought i was the only one i couldn’t climb on ss league, its all about these gear 5 luffys. This meta is broken fr. We dont need a counter cuz then the counter will run the meta, everytime a new ex arrives destroys the game and the fun.
They just need to update characters, reworks to mimic meta character abilities, they can easily make Green Crocodile better with simply buffs that units that are brand new are use to.

I think a good rule bandai could add for league is to limit the usage of characters (see below)
1) you can use an Ex but your 2nd character can only be step up or cola
2) you can use 2 bounty fest characters
That way it'll limit the ex abusers and allow people to try more step ups
Good idea but I think the 2nd character should be anything but another EX
2 bf for example, alber and queen, that's still gg for most players. They are as good if not better than most ex
Sometimes I wonder what it would be like if this game was something like Smite or League where EVERY character was at least good and they did balance updates more frequently to help out those that might not be as good or nerf those that are too good. But this is a mobile game and it doesn’t work like that 😓

Last video before they introduced green bull and momo I was complaining about g5 abusing lighting and basically making new characters irrelevant from how broken he is. However I feel like Momonosuke is a hidden Ex. His skill 2 because you can hold it, is very unpredictable and difficult to get a perfect dodge. He also boost flags above 100% just like Ex characters. It’s the zoros and shanks that you have to watch. But momo definitely feels like an ex. Even better than my zephyr.
Yesterday I played a match against 3 gear 5's and I kid you not every one of them threw bolts of lightning at me back to back on at least 3 respawns. I wanted the match to be over in a hurry.
@@haywoodlunsford4238 on the last video I was saying I don’t even understand why they gave luffy a skill that allows him to throw lighting as if he was amaru. In the anime kaido knocked him into a cloud then he grabbed onto a lighting bolt and threw it. He does not summon lighting at will like eneru. So they should make that skill some form of a counter so people don’t spam his lighting.
@@williamsjhamo Yeah I saw that comment in the other video. I get that he can grab lightning but why is it that half the time a gear 5 attacks me he always uses the lightning skills. He doesn't even spam it in the anime.
@@haywoodlunsford4238 I TOTALLY agree with you, he shouldn’t be spamming that move, the problem is in the game he summons a cloud reaches up inside the cloud and grabs a bolt of lighting when that’s not how it is in the anime. He should not summon random clouds. Only eneru and nami can do that. He bounced up into clouds that was already there.

Ex characters are sometimes not even fun or fun to play for 1 hour like G5 who spams Lightning and Bajrang and who uses counter every times , Roger, Big mom who just stays at the mid and spams maser and Fulgora
That boy low-key spent bout 40-50 on a ftp account just to make greenbull playable. I think that proves his point and maybe their motivations. They want you to get your ass kicked enough to loosen up your wallets
