0:32 i honestly dont find the key weird because i have an electric scooter that requires you to crank a key on before pressing a button to turn on the scooter To me in a car it makes sense as well
Agree with most observations, however, Charging - is good in my opinion; but would add that it does not like a delay charge for tariff charging. Seats are indeed comfy in my fabric version. I have a '19 passion cabrio with orange inside and out so i like the orange ambient lighting. I like an actual key being locked in a vehicle, could do without the swirch blade though. No heated seats on mine 😢 and i did pick up in used market after a few i3's - loved the REX option and would like in my smart since no DC. If these had 120 mile range and DC charging these would be perfect. The tie down points on crossbar is for an wind screen that helps with wind when top is down
Thanks for sharing! Wind screen certainly makes sense. I've also not tried delayed charging myself, so I appreciate the add! Orange is a great color on these for sure.
@@brooksfiesinger1290 has turned out to be so much fun that use as my commuter and purchased just for a tow car. A real blast and amazing how much attention and times approached over it - so many shocked about the merc heritage as well
1 so you won’t lost it during driving 2 in winter led doesn’t generate heat , traditional light melts ice 3 get a phone holder smart phone holders are dirt cheap, try the nd mx5 phone holder heheh $100+ for a phone holder
'18, but the only difference in years to my knowledge is the artificial sound where I mentioned it was introduced in '18. Half way through '18 they also added the small 1" eq badge. Other than that the 453s eq/eds I believe are the same over all years in the US.
For me a vehicle must have a key and I even hate the ones that have a stupid chip in them. Just another thing to fail and cost me more. I would never buy an electric vehicle. I live in New England where power outages are a thing, no power = no charging = no transportation. It gets real cold here in the winter. With the heat going full blast and slipping on the slick roads I would get less than half of it's advertised range. How much would it cost to have a charging system put in my house? Too much money I would say. An extra added cost that no one talks about.
The smart comes with a charger and it charges overnight with a regular household outlet! I understand the concerns about power outages. Fortunately for me I have a whole suite of vehicles and only one is electric. On the flip side I do know a number of people buy the Ford lightnings for that purpose... to keep their house running during power outages by running off the truck! I do acknowledge they aren't for everyone. For my city work daily driver, the electric car is perfect. 11 mile commutes parking in tight spots... I have a truck I use to pull my camper and race car, and I can't even get that truck into the parking garages because it's too tall! It is fun to have a go-kart like this as a third or fourth vehicle. Unless you live IN a city, I wouldn't recommend it as your only vehicle. I appreciate your thoughts. Thanks for sharing your perspective and enjoy your day!
My second one is being delivered today. I LOVE these little cabrios. Cheers from Cali!
This SMART is the best city car ever built.
