The biggest issue with P.M.L (both in terms of his personality and content) is that he lets his baseline emotional reactions blind his judgement on virtually any subject he talks about, making him both an unreliable and greatly biased perspective to follow, let alone for anyone to side with. This issue has only gotten worse over time, with the worst and most ridiculous of it being the topic of lewd drawings depicting under-aged characters. I know the whole matter of it (and also "Lolicon" by a country mile) is still drenched in internet controversy to the point of even mentioning it rattling up voices from both divisions in mere moments, but to me it's always been a pretty clear-cut case: Projecting human rights onto intangible drawings is pure insanity, and it's like I'm witnessing the new-age version of Jack Thompson advocating to outright ban video-games for their explicit content. Anyone conflating fantasy with reality (let alone to this extreme) isn't only just bewildering to witness, but it's also setting an extremely bad precedent towards a downward spiral of purist thought-policing. By these people's logic, then anyone who gets even the slightest aroused by Ann Takamaki's Panther outfit from 'Persona 5', or the Amy Rouge meme that was making the rounds a while back, or having a slight crush on Mid-Teenage anime/ cartoon/ film characters, or anything else of the sort are all just pedos-in-the-making and need to have the F.B.I called on them. Someone being a major weirdo or a harmless degenerate doesn't constitute them as being a wannabe-kiddie diddler or a certified public danger, nor do they need to "get mental help ASAP" when they infer and point out that fantasy & reality aren't the same or that it's purely on the individual for mixing up the two.
