Excellent analysis Dan. Us Pro users are a vocal bunch... I'm really, really hoping for a pacifier (ability to sort Linked Fields perhaps?) sooner than later...

Hello Dan, I have a situation. I run a small agricultural products business. Currently, I manage all my accounting, inventory, and more in Excel. I need a solution to organize my inventory that allows an employee to fill it out, and another to record sales. However, my prices fluctuate. Does Airtable handle historical prices, or is it like Excel where changing a price updates all historical prices? Thank you in advance.

The question is whether suppliers like SmartSuite will follow Airtable?

Totally valid question! The team over there is really communicative, so would be a great question to ask in chat or the community.

honestly, maddening... I'm paying $500 a month for the Business plan and that's going to jump to $1k? Nah... that's crap

With the new pricing plan of Airtable. Does the (new) free version of Airtable will still allow a connection with Softr?

Would you please let me know the new price for the Enterprise Plan?

    • @danleeman

Airtable doesn't provide price transparency around their Enterprise Scaling/Enterprise plans. We've been hearing from clients who are considering upgrading that it seems to be in the $70/user/month area - but as with Enterprise offerings, there may be volume discounts.

Thanks, Dan! I'm curious why Glide wasn't in your set of alternatives? (I'm Glide's CEO) Just trying to figure out how we get our superior product into conversations like this!

    Thanks Dan, very good analysis
I hope Airtable doesn't limit its APIs for Softr and others.

Yes, me too! They provide a really valuable service that isn't encompassed in Airtable's native offerings.

Definitely no concern for small business owners. It was already expensive.

I just downsized from a $3,000 a year solution to Air table which is going to run me about $570 a year. Guess it depends who you're asking.

It didnt let me upgrade to bussines.. This new bussines plan is still an enterprise plan.. as they asking to buy a minumun of 10 users

    • @danleeman
      @danleeman  ปีที่แล้ว +1

As far as I'm aware there aren't user minimums on business. I didn't have an issue with a single user workspace. Might want to double check?

They do have a limit,@@danleeman. I'm smack dab in the middle of that Small Business Owner / One-Woman-Freelance Shop LOSERS category. ;-/ Pro plan price doubling as relied upon features being slashed and limited - jeopardizing YEARS of work-flow and project management set-up! ;-/ We're all unceremoniously shoved aside with but cursory notice into the new "Team" account - left hanging, losing momentum - unable to economically justify Enterprise - with its 10-user false economy (for me) threshold. Just abandoned and ignored ;-( left to scramble to find the time and bandwidth to research and do due diligence on learning curve and overwhelming migration transitioning options for the next Tarzan vine to leap to, grasp for - and pray. ;-/
Losing the syncs? = Cheap shot gut punch.

Dan, great video, thank you ----- My fellow biggest losers (average pro plan user) - what are we doing? I'm sincerely torn. I love Airtable. I love the new features. At the core though, I just want a place that 1) can store the various types of data the flow through my company 2) can operationalize that data with automations and integrations and 3) can present that data in it's many states in app interfaces

Lots of solutions out there, just depending on top priorities. Some people reducing AT spend and augmenting with a frontend solution like Softr, others are doing more internal tool builds like Noloco + Retool, some are pivoting to SmartSuite, others are biting the bullet with the additional AT license spend.
