    This is our second K-Classic. We had our first one for many years, so when we had to replace it, we wanted nothing else but this exact th-cam.com/users/postUgkxBrV-RbF5Nk0Rlt9i15aao-YMzqzTG8Vf model. We use it for about three people everyday in the morning. The taste and quick brew is one of the reasons we like it so much. There are so many choices of brands of coffee that we would grab what was on sale and test the different brands from there. I would definitely recommend trying different brands of coffee to find the ones you like the most because there are brands that quite frankly taste horrible.

    This was the single video that saved my machine THANKS!! I thought the bottom screws needed a hex but a small screwdriver works thanks to your vid. Very important when putting top back on to do it with piston/spout retracted b/c otherwise putting in on in different position messes up the mechanism and won't work. I had those two very small pieces break off so poured back into drip tray but I got a replacement spout on Amazon for $13 and replaced it and all works great again!

    Thank you for this video, Daniel Joblin! I was able to fix my $15 thrift store Nespresso machine (that has been working 6+ months) with a $7 part from Amazon. You are a Rockstar!

    Hi Daniel, thanks for the tips on self servicing this machine, I'm in this situation where my reusable pod is stuck inside and I still can't get it out. Any more advanced tip you can offer?

    Thank you Thank you Thank you .. Used your videos to discover the "secrets" behind the Delonghi EN210 Nespresso Machine breaking. All fixed - I've decided not to put the front plastic cover on, and manual tip the 'funnel' myself. (I have about 50 pods to get through that I've collected over the years and that'll be it).
    (Perhaps change the name of the video to include the model number - or at least that is a Delonghi machine). 😀

    I know I am a bit late to the party but I would like to respectfully contribute.
    I too have found Daniel John’s videos to be helpful and I have gone back to them repeatedly to refresh my mind when opening up my (regularly) machine. Sadly, this model is poorly designed, breaks often, and makes a mockery of the concept of a warranty - if we were to send our Nespressos off every time they broke, we’d be broke too, just from the postage, not to mind the absolute horror of being unable to drink coffee 🤪.
    I am unaware of Nespresso apologising for this shoddy machine, or extending their warranty.
    As was stated in other comments, far better to repair than throw away.
    Safety should not be restricted to laws and regulations but should be integral to our every move.
    What this video describes is not overly difficult and requires only a bit of common sense plus the gumption to try it out; if an owner is not up for the job, they will baulk on encountering the ‘tamper-proof’ Torx heads (another attempt to thwart home repairs by Nespresso)
    Sadly, I don’t find Andrew’s comments helpful - as others have said, warranties will probably be up or the users need coffee now, not in 6 weeks, after much frustration and cost.
    Keep up the good work Daniel John - we’re behind you all the way. In fact, Nespresso might think about making their own videos based on yours (or, even better, make some machines that work!! 😂😂😂)
    Andrew, if you reply to me, no shouting please, and please have a read over all your previous comments and try not to repeat anything you’ve already said multiple times as might make you look a bit pompous...

      You probably need a new extract/ brewing unit. the problem is you can’t purchase Nespresso internal parts. So you should call Nespresso to get it properly repaired by a Nespresso service centre. Also your warranty will be voided if your machine is still under a 2 year warranty, if a Nespresso service centre realises you opened up your machine. Why didn’t you get it repaired by a Nespresso service centre ?

    • @Djoblin

      That depends on what part of it breaks off. You may need a new part but it could also be fixed. Hard to tell without seeing

    • @AlexNikoloudisMusic
      @AlexNikoloudisMusic 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      daniel joblin I understand. I think it’s called a retractor. When you put the capsules in to make a coffee you always have to pull that retractor down. That little retractor completely broke off when I opened the machine. I have no idea how to fix it. Any thoughts? Cheers!

    • @andrewjang5358
      @andrewjang5358 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Alex Nikoloudis You have to take it to a Nespresso repair centre. You should’ve taken it to a Nespresso repair centre in the first place. You cannot purchase any technical and internal parts from Nespresso. Only Nespresso authorised service centres have the parts to fix Nespresso machine and they will not sell it to you. If your machine is under warranty they would’ve fixed it free of charge for you.

    LOL YOU JUST VOIDED YOUR WARRANTY. If A Nespresso authorised service centre notices it has been open up it will void your warranty and youll have to pay for the repair. Nespresso repairs it free of charge anyway if it’s under warranty. So why bother going through all this trouble ? keep this in mind you cannot purchase any internal parts from Nespresso anyway so if you need parts to fix it you can’t even buy it. Also you may do further damage to your machine by breaking parts if you don’t open it up properly.

    • @Djoblin
      @Djoblin  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Why LOL, Imagine that its out of warranty.... Imagine that you brought it second hand... Imagine that you have had it for 2.5 years and tis the weekend and you just need a Coffee. What I guess im sayinging is that I can think of a fair few reasons why you would want to do this... and your comment is strangly like @fanboy Larpee..... perhaps you should only buy new things and then throw them out when the warranty is finished...

    • @andrewjang5358
      @andrewjang5358 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      daniel joblin you do realise not everyone is an electrician but trade. What happens if someone gets injured by your advice ? You don’t care if someone gets injured ? Why not get it serviced properly by a Nespresso authorised service centre ? What happens if you need internal parts ? Nespresso don’t sell the internal parts to customers. Of course you may find them on the black market but the parts may not be brand new and faulty. Most of the time to repair Nespresso machines you need a new thermoblock, pump, extract unit, levers, pcb, NTC.
