  • In this passionate talk, 10-year old Fiorina Berezovsky, takes us on the journey of kings, queens and pawns. What once was a game played only by royalty, is now a game that has evolved with the influence of technology and Artificial Intelligence. Berezovsky, a chess Olympia participant and winner, shares with us these technological advances and what she finds exciting in the future of chess. From an early age, chess has been Fiorina Berezovsky’s passion. At the age of 6, she learned the game from her parents Igor and Svetlana, who are both chess enthusiasts themselves. Though she is only 10 years of age, Berezovsky had already participated in the European and World Youth Chess Championships and was a member of the Monaco team, representing the country at the most recent Chess Olympiad in Baku, Azerbaijan. She was the youngest Olympiad participant and has won two games for Monaco. Berezovsky currently lives with her parents and three older siblings in Monaco. She fluently speaks five languages (English, French, German, Russian and Ukrainian).

@@fiorinaberezovsky if you are the real Fiorina Berezovsky, I am terribly sorry for my poorly thought comment. I wrote it when I was having a bad day. You're smart and entertaining, thank you for the Ted talk.

I know it’s been a really long time since you’ve replied to this video but if you really are the real Florian Berezovsky, I am curious on how your chess career went. I also wanted to know your opinion about what Bobby Fischer’s opinion on computers, that they are ruining the game because every line has been studied so much that it’s impossible to have the same creativity as when there weren’t chess computers. Great Ted talk.
