Nice disclaimer :)) . I recently changed all engine+gerabox mounts . I made the mistake of not supporting the engine when i changed the upper 'hidraulic' mount . The engine did sag and twist a bit . No big issue , but without an M10 threaded rod i could not pull the engine back in its place . -I could , but i would have to lift it up again , put on stands again , remove engine cover and mount a small hidraulic jack on the bottom of the engine somwhere . Problem is...:) :D , i already did this for the gearbox mount , and i was hoping to simply change the upper mounts one by one... That was a mistake ... So if anyone reads this , save yourself 2 hours and keep the car and engine jacked all the way . The lower mount and the upper rear left can be changed without jacking the engine . Another important bit is the necessity of some small crowbars , can be as simple as a pipe - for the lower mount , as you don't have enough space for good leverage , you will understand when you get under the car...:D . In retrospect a Crowfoot wrench would have been really useful for the upper 'hidraulic' mount -as you don't have enough space from the coolant expansion tank. All in all straightforward procedure .
Excellent vid as just checked mine and it has perished in the same way. 2 quick questions, would you recommend aftermarket or should I stick with genuine and secondly where do you source all the torque settings? Thanks.
Hey, is this a 1.5dci? Have to change mine too but wanna make sure there’s no need to support the engine when removing the mount. Also where did you get the mount from, I’m looking on auto doc but you never know if the part is suitable even when they say it is, thank you, appreciate it in advance 💪🏼
Hey yes it’s the 1.5 dci K9K engine, I got the part off Amazon, you don’t need to support the engine but it will sagg a small amount as you can see in the video. I’ve never had any luck with Auto Doc and parts

Fantastic bit of advice here for people looking to do it themselves, thanks very much for sharing. I’m sure it will greatly help someone

@@quickfixmechanics appreciate it, take care💪🏼
It’s possible without tork wrench?
