Thank you April! I think it will be a nice Christmas present! Also thank you (April Wilkerson Peter Brown Steve Carmichael ) very much for organizing scrap bin challenge 2014, I had a blast making this and watching other people's projects! Take care, Andrea A.
Thank you Peter Brown ! I finally disposed my old jigsaw, man I hated that one...this one is amazing - no vibrations, precise and clean cut, and cordless!! I love it!
Thank you very much for the kind words Steve! Yes, it's a new saw finally I couldn't stand anymore the previous one. Fish and wine, oh yes! Take care, Andrea A.
Sweet! Man, I've seen tons of the 'floating' wine bottle holders. But I've never seen one as cool looking as this one! I LOVE the fish bones shape. Great idea and awesome job. But, then again, I've come to expect only awesomeness from your work!
@@AndreaArzensek all is well, thank you for asking - hope all is well with you - from Croatia? I don't know why I thought you used to live in central america - must be me getting old
Love the idea can I give you little tip before use your jig saw to cut out your pattern lay clear packing tape over the pattern it a small trick I use with my bandsaw and scroll saw
Great project Andrea, you are doing great job with the jigsaw! What kind of wood did you use for the fish bone? I just found a board in my cellar which has similar figure to that (I also saw that in your table saw structure where the switch is). It is pretty heavy, nice lumber but I just couldn't identify.
Thank you Tamas! I used guanacaste wood (elephant ear tree) and in the middle I glued 6mm pine plywood to reinforce the bones of the fish. That's correct, good eye, there is also guanacaste in the table structure. Here is a quick read on guanacaste and a photo: www.rochdalespears.com/blog/2012/04/26/guanacaste-wood-for-the-bina-furniture-line/ For what I know working with it: - it's light weight wood - soft (dents quite easily) - works and glues very good - irritates respiratory system when sawing/sanding (causes sneezing and nose running) - rot and insect resistant (very high) - I used sawdust to get rid of ants - creamy sapwood with dark and beautifully grained heartwood
legacyofbob Thank you Bob! I used guanacaste (elephant ear tree wood) and 6mm plywood! Wax finish is beeswax with baby oil (mineral) and almond oil mixture :) I have a video where I make red wax but it's the same idea.

This is so awesome! Two questions - Would you happen to still have the template? The link is broken. Also, where did you get the "handcrafted by ..." stickers. I love those!!
Steven Trotter | Designer, Geek & Dad Thank you Steven! I re-uploaded the link, it works now! I print out the stickers myself, I explained this in detail in my Ep 001 or John Heisz's video on labels. Cheers!
I didn't even noticed the cordless part. Nice! Yours is a lot nicer than mine. I still use the old Craftsman scrolling jig saw that my mom bought for me when I was 16 or 17 (I'm 41 now). Mine still works fine but it's not exactly the best in the world. I'd love to get one of the latest Festool jigsaws.
Steve French Old tools were better, at least they say. But I'm very happy with this saw. I would also like to have a scrollsaw, but maybe when I have a place to store it. Festool look like the best on market, then you will be Batman like woodworker :)
Andrea Arzensek In many cases, the old tools were better. But jig saw technology has come a long way over the past 20-something years. I'd imagine pretty much any decent modern one is better than the one I have. I'd love one of the Festools, but I can't justify spending that kind of money on a jig saw. They sure are nice though.
nice logo on your apron: measure twice, cut once.... then talk bad, get glue or a new piece of wood, start again by step 1)..... anyone else knows that?
That's really neat Andrea Arzensek Will make a good gift!
Thank you Tyler! For sure it will :)
A very unique twist on outdoing many of the boring straight slabs of wood used for this. Great job Andrea.
Thank you Charles! I admire your scroll work!
Those fish are gifts waiting to happen! Great idea!
Actually I'm giving one to the best scrap :)
Thank you!
Nice project, this would make great Christmas presents.

Great project Andrea
Thank you Carl!
Very cool!
That's funny because most wine has traces of fish in it.
Muito legal.

Very good craftsmanship! You are very talented. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you very much 😊
Great project Andrea, you're an artist with that jig saw!

Gotta be the coolest bottle balancer I've seen. -Dave
Thank you very much Dave!
It's very easy to make, especially if you have scroll saw.
Take care,
Andrea A.
Great project Andrea! You got a new saw! Congrats! Love the dinner theme of those fish bones with the wine. Your videos are so much fun to watch.
Thank you very much for the kind words Steve!

I don't doubt that one bit.
turned out great , thanks for sharing
Thank you Sterling!
Cool, Andrea! I think that's the first balancing wine holder I've seen that tempted me to make one. But it looks like so much work...
Thanks Michael Anderson
It's really very simple to make and probably with all sanding takes about 1-2 hours to finish (excluding glue-up) :)
Good job Andrea
Thanks Nick!

That is one cool bottle holder. Nice video.
Thanks Ted!
Muy original el diseño!

Nicely done Andrea. Enjoyed watching.

Great job, I liked how you cleaned it out with the jig saw.
Thank you Brander!
this is great project Andrea, super creative, loved it
+Bill Egan Thanks man!
I've seen many of these balances but this is the best design. Good Luck in the challenge.
Thank you very much!
Very nice work Andrea, just another fine project and video. Really like the way it turned out.
Thank you very much, John!
Love the idea
can I give you little tip before use your jig saw to cut out your pattern lay clear packing tape over the pattern it a small trick I use with my bandsaw and scroll saw
Thanks Roger!
What is the purpose of clear packing tape over the pattern?
one it help to hold the pattern better
two it help lube the blades from burning the wood when you cutting
Great project Andrea. Is that a new Jig Saw I see?
Take care
Mike
Thank you Mike!
Yes it's a new jig saw, my first time using it and I love it!
very cool wine holder. plan in making some from your pdf template. thank you

nice andrea thank you......what is the thickness of the wood?
It is 3 layers of wood. You can do between 15-25mm. 20 would be ideal but it is not necessary.
Coo fish! nice
