Hej Jon! To remove those dots from the GoPro dome, just lick the glass of a dome lens BEFORE you start shooting in the water. Thats probably the easiest way to do when you shooting surfing with GoPro dome port) And can't wait for your next vlog, so exciting, you guys doing amazing job with all that editing and living a dream!

Jon, about the dome on the GoPro. I saw it yesterday and it seemed weird, but looking at the footage I thought it was actually some of the best footage I have seen from a GoPro in surf. Yes there were more dots, but they were much smaller and didn't block the shot. There is nothing more frustrating than looking at footage and having the entire shot blurred by one dot of water. I think it is awesome!
I'm probably in the small minority, but I actually kinda liked how there was water drops on the lens, made it feel more realistic and I wasn't disturbed by it at all. Also great vlog as always!

Great VLOG. In wet conditions try coating the dome with Rain-X for car windshields. The water will shed right off and no waterdrops will be on the lens.
Jon, get one of those sprays that you spray on the glass bit of motorcycle helmets so the water runs off of it. It will make the drops roll off the GoPro dome
@jon to get the water off of the lens port for the GoPro. Dunk it under water then lick it. Repeat 2x and it will create a film on the glass that repels water! Love the blog keep it up!
Slater rules. I knew him when he was a little grom surfing at Sebastian Inlet. He was ripping when he was 9 years old. I'm 60 and still surf and Yoga is an integral part of my exercise regime.
Jon you should get a mouth mount for your GoPro for the surfing shots. They're super cheap and easy to make as well. Also good for cliff diving and other team overkill activities. Much easier than lugging around that dome lens ;)

Same for cars.. I use wax all the time = when it rains all water falls off immediately
wowjo12 ive found wax to be better than rainx on windshields since it doesnt spot or cause any issues at night in the rain like rainx

Only read this comment so far, but if it's water drops on the lense while filming just lick or spit on the lense port and it'll solve the issue!
In my opinion, the water droplets were a cool surprise that made the drop of the song and the catching of the wave stylishly synchronized!

a tip for the go pro housing, you can put a special water repelled coating on it, so that way the water drops don't stick on the housing ;)
