I feel for my native brothers and sisters. I wonder why they can't just hire a company deals with moving houses for the tribal members who own and built there own homes. Then they wouldn't have to give up their homes that were built by our elders. Or get a group of tribal members and train them on how to move homes themselves? I especially feel bad for my 1st nation ppl who live in traditional generational living, which is living with multiple generations in the same house, so the family either grandkids or the children help take care of our elders by living together until their last breath. And alot of times those houses is all they have. So I can imagine how hard it would be to leave a house thats been in their families lives after being relocated once already along time ago and now they'll have to give up a piece of Land that was already given them decades earlier. That's why by moving alot of these houses would be a good way to deal with that housing issue.
Wow, that's a tough decision but sounds like a necessary one considering the risks. Moving to higher ground seems like a smart move to ensure safety for generations to come.

Great plan, give them money which then goes to outside architect and construction firms
I'd like to see a full accounting of that money by the Federal government; these people on the coast can't wait.
