Thank you for talking about stillbirths. I wish I'd watched this video before we lost our daughter. I too knew something was wrong, but I trusted the doctor. NEVER again. Thank you for sharing.
My niece was pregnant with baby boy due Dec 1. Just found out with low activity they went to ER and umbilical cord wrapped around neck, had died. I'm listening to these videos and learned so much. I don't think people are made aware of symptoms or concerns. Make doctors listen to you.
"Information is power"...Mindy, you are beautiful! Thank you so much, it is voices like yours that will be heard. I do not know this level of loss, but I do want to understand it, and as a nurse with a goal of someday working in OB you just taught me so much in your 15 minute video. Abby IS changing the world, even if just a little bit at a time, and your little girl will move mountains! Thank you again, from the bottom of my heart, for sharing your story. And how about Abby showed up for the family picture?! How awesome is that! That just showed what a bright little light she is ❤❤❤💙❤❤
Are you positive hiccups are a cord issue? My last son got hiccups so often but I was never made aware of that. He’s 36 now. My first son who is 47 never had hiccups and had a very traumatic birth experience. He was overdue and I had to be induced. As soon as his head was out he let out an animalistic scream and the nurse yelled oh my god and clipped the cord because it was wrapped around his neck 3 times. His little head looked like someone had beaten it black and blue. There was no white in his eyeballs. They were red with blood and his forehead looked like a road map with broken blood vessels. Just typing this brings back the horrible memory of that night. He cried that animalistic cry for over 9 hours. The RN told me if I had waited any longer he would have been stillborn. It had a terrible effect on his nervous system. To this day he can’t stand long hugs or confinement of any kind. I’m so grateful we got to him soon enough.
Dixie Hull both of my babies had them and they were fine and my kids also slowed down before they were born, my Dr told me baby is just preparing to come and has less room, so I'm not sure who told her they are more active!!!
I’ve never heard that before either. I looked it up and this if what I found. I guess it can indicate an issue with the cord but doesn’t necessarily mean there’s any problems. Could just be innocent hiccups too. “While frequent hiccupping does not necessarily signify a problem, it could be that the umbilical cord has become compressed or prolapsed. More evidence is needed to be sure whether increased episodes or duration of fetal hiccups later in pregnancy are cause for concern.”
I was fine until the end and when I saw the orb I lost it and burst Into tears. God bless you and your family I know the heart ache of losing a child. My heart is with you today.❤️
Your family picture is amazing! I am so sorry you lost Abby. I hope your voice reaches far and wide and helps other families this has and will happen to and that more babies will be saved through the awareness you are bringing to this tragic issue. One baby every 20 minutes in the US is unacceptable. I am going to research ways I can help somehow. I fortunately did not have this happen, thank God, but would still like to find a way to help. Kylie, Abby and Tucker have an amazing mom.
I've been told that the left side sleeping is a myth... either side is fine...sorry for your loss. I'm almost 24w after an ectopic pregnancy and I thought I'd be ok once they confirmed baby was in the right place...but now stillbirth is my biggest fear...
I cant agree with the statement about movement in the last month of pregnancy. A baby does have less room to move. There is always concern of a nuchal cord .
What a proactive, strong approach. Remarkable woman.
i am so sorry about Abby

This episode the speaker is espousing way too much medical advise that is not substantiated; it doesn't seem right for her to be doing that.

I just want to say that until I watched these videos, I thought stillbirth was a surprise at delivery. God be with you
You're so strong on how you talk about it
So sorry for your loss
My now 5 year old now was born with a double knot they Said reason he survived was because it was so long, but I remember the hiccup’s was relentless
I found the same ... people including family and friends do not want to talk about it
