I was told a story where a fake seller created a listing, flooded the listing with incentivized reviews, and then when amazon banned the seller, the listing remained on amazon with the reviews, and the "brand owner" came in to sell on a brand new high review listing since banning the seller doesn't remove reviews generated by the product, even if they were done illegally.

    You're right, Traivs.
Chinese sellers like to copy products, so when choosing products, you will always find many sellers selling the same products, using the same packaging.
This is also a big problem that bothers me. I'm from China, a newbie, and when looking for the right product, I always find a bunch of "100%" identical products, same color, same size, same features. It seems that their brands are only used to implement certain features of Amazon.

Most of these broken brands that end up on Amazon are NOT cheaper although they appear like they are. If one item lasts you 3 years and you spent $80 and the knock off one cost $30 but you end up replacing it each year, which is cheaper? People don't thin of long term cost, just short term feel goods. I am sick of all these broken knock off brands on Amazon, makes it hard to be a place to even shop anymore. You have to specifically look for something decent or you'll only see the garbage.

Hey Travis... There is some truth about their pricing... but, the message is a bit bias on the manufacturers part... why? Have you ever thought about manufacturers need to invest a lot of money, time setting up and maintaining their factory? If you think that is an unfair advantage? You may try opening one if you want to have that pricing? I have been a manufacturer for twenty years in China and it is not something easy as it seems... Hey, they are also finding ways to survive and ROI... I like what you have mentioned on the last part where it is better to focus on what you can do and control to be in competition... and that should be the thinking if you want to compete and do business that you can control... my two cents.

Couldn't China just create a qr code on their cards that leads to that guys videos too? Lol. They absolutely could do that so I'm not sure why you just passed right over that one lol. Not going to lie tho...I wish I wouldn't have watched these last few videos of yours that I did.. I suppose I'm not far enough along in my quest for amazon success to find the info useful, I found it to be extremely discouraging..adding more worry&fear to my already overwhelmed brain. Which kinda sucks..I was starting to feel kinda confident, like I was getting somewhere, like "hey, MAAYYYBEE I can make this work!" .. And then these last few videos brought that to a screeching halt.. I felt like I just got slapped in the face by Madea, twice..like "no bitch! No you can't! And don't go getting all stupid on me again by trying to convince yourself that you can. ITS A LIE!" .....
    Me: 🤕 ouch 😔

In my opinion Americans shouldn't manufacture in China. When you manufacture in China, you've given away your intellectual property. If they want to copy you, they will. You also starve the American manufacturers you should be using, which drives up prices and makes it harder to find a local manufacturer. On a large scale this takes money out of the pockets of your potential customers. This is what happened when big American companies outsourced a lot of manufacturing to other countries. Those blue collar jobs went away. Software development and IT has also been largely outsourced, killing a lot of white collar jobs. The number of Americans able to afford a premium passion product goes down, and the cost of American manufacturing goes up. It's a race to the bottom.
The solution is to have a unique enough product that you can charge a reasonable price while still manufacturing in America.
You can't keep sending money and jobs out of America then expect Americans to afford your premium niche product. No, they'll have to buy the cheap foreign product.

To add to this comment. Trump's plan was to make it less "easy" for both the chinese to flood the market with cheaper product, and for americans to buy overseas, thus destroying our manufacturing and small business bases.

Trump launched a half baked tariff scheme to get his base riled up as usual. Tariffs are paid by the importers in America, not by China. Having tariffs *without* also investing a ton of money on local manufacturing, buying a lot of local only products, making it so American corporations don't outsource, and increasing the wages of workers so they can afford local products doesn't work. Trump also worsened the wealth gap so fewer Americans can afford premium niche passion products made in America.

@@TravisMarziani About a week Travis loool. But I been researching it a while. The future of financial payments will end in not just cashless but digital payments. I don't mean the current electronic payments but crypto or digital payments. As the world economy moves to such transactions the amount of money and therefore price increase of such crypto coins can only increase. But I definitely recommend doing research on coins and their respective companies as there are currently over nine thousand crypto coins in existence even though we only usually hear about Bitcoin in the mainstream news because of its price. But your return on investment is better on the smaller coins that are only getting started but have much potential. We might be a little late to the Bitcoin party but the fact is when it comes to the global crypto party we are only just being served the appetizers! 🤑

China is killing the economy of every single country. But still, we are all allowing them to do it. In special governments and amazon that put no regulation on this issue. I know many people here think that Chine has not yet mastered marketing and brand building but years ago everyone felt relax because Chinese products had so bad quality. Nowadays I’ve bought American and Chinese products (synthetic hair) and found the Chinese one way better and way cheaper. What makes me think that they’ll keep improving in everything. Also, Chinese business have everyday more more resources to focus on marketing and eventually they will. That’s kind of scary for entrepreneurs in the world

Woww so this whole video was focused on shitting on Chinese manufacturers. Your friend said they "could" just not pay taxes... well guess what, anyone "could" not pay taxes even in the States. Saying they could "lie" about their declared value for customs is just a biased point of view. You mentioned about trademarks not being useful as they can just copy the products. You're just talking about all the possible bad points that "could" happen.
Why not have a video talking about Amazon sellers who just buy products from Aliexpress and get Chinese manufacturers to dropship and the seller makes all the profit? Those sellers would just take photos from the seller's website without consent and use them as their own... is that alright to you?
I'm not a Chinese manufacturer nor an Amazon seller. Just came across your video and see that you're so biased and putting the blame on Chinese manufacturers. Just be fair man.
