This guy was my most anticipated of the line. Really dig his look. Same on the crotch piece. I'd have missed the fact that it wasn't detailed like the rest of the lower torso. I wouldn't worry about the swapping of the crotch piece to replace it. I kitbashed across the Action Force line all the time and these are insanely easy to pop on and off. The waist doesn't even need heat, the legs with the drop down I do it just to be on the safe side. But no issues yet.
I find it funny how Bobby shits on the Riders Punisher for odd proportions but if you take the vest off this guy his torso is way too thin and it makes his arms look inflated. Valaverse figures do not look good without the gear on.
Decent looking addition. Face quality seem really good. I’m getting Kevin Sexton (sculptor/wrestler) vibes. Or Garry Lama. Not sure I’ve ever seen jeans with built in knee pads. Still looks good.
Did yours not come with the new trunks part? Reading on FB they come with a new one as the other one wasn't right... even though he signed off for them to produce them lol. Good he fixed it for sure but same time he had the samples before saying yes. Have to say his vests are prob the best around got to give it to him on that :) They're very easy to pop apart 2bh, hairdryer and away you go :)
I'm interested in this figure. Finally a different body type for Action Force. Maybe Vala should have choosed different colors for the pants and boots. The rest it's pretty solid.
I would have liked darker boots even if they were tan, but I think for me it’s the lace detail that isn’t great. Really makes them look WIDE. I would have the knee pads a different color as well. I like the muscle arm sculpt, next hopefully something right in the middle size wise between the two body types arms.
I'm new to collecting military type action figures. I checked this series out on BBTS and seen Atlas is on preorder. I liked him instantly because of the old pt cap it looks like he's wearing. Also, as a collector, is it a no-no to add more detailing yourself (painting, adding environment effects like dust, dirt)? I like making dioramas for my D&D, Warhammer minis and I'm into making things look realistic. So, if anyone wouldn't mind giving me their opinion, I'd greatly appreciate it!
I say that painting is a must sometimes to really enhance the figures you buy. Especially for stuff like Classified and Action Force. They have terrific sculpts that need blackwash and drybrushing so they don't look so clean. But also, a bit of a wash to take down the glossiness of the bare plastic.
If you got the talent, go for it, they're your figures after all :) I made a group of GI Joes into a jungle unit and a little like the team from Predator :P
Bit the bullet and ordered them lol my Atlas's eyes are off so it looks like he's looking left, I don't mind it though something different on the shelf hehe, I have to give Bobby probs on the packaging though, wish the green robot was still in stock aswell hehe :)
I really do not like the leg storage for that drum or the gernades on the other figures. Not only does it not look practical in real life but it looks bulky on a figure. The blowout kits looked better but I know he wanted to offer something different just poorly executed.A backpack with slots like gridiron does would have been soo much better for his spare ammo
I don't like the legs. Blousing jeans with the bulky boots???,looks like UGGZ, the drum on the leg? No. The ammo on the wrist? Na. I thought Valaverse was going to be realistic like Trigger? Head sculpt is great however.
You have to boil these figures in boiling water not just warm water like people say or putting a little heat gun to it you have to literally have boiling water put them in there for a few seconds and everything will just fall apart like easy it happens with classified it will even happen with the original A Real American Hero figures they almost turn soft. So it's not about a little heat it's about making it warm enough not enough to melt
Atlas WAS one of the least that eye was looking forward to. Seeing him in your video makes me wish that eye had him now!!! And that troopers head on Atlas body is 🔥🔥🔥
It boggles the mind or hes just cheap that Valayla takes a look at these before going into production & doesnt put any paint on the boots. It would look 100x better or maybe that is paint & he wanted them green
He looks nothing like Roadblock, though? No tanktop, no army fatigues, no ridiculous .50 cal squad weapon carried by a single person. He's got unigue gear on. We can't call every big guy buck a copy of Roadblock.
I'm not a fan of this one. Honestly, Sidewinder is the only new character I thought looked cool. The others (besides Senshi) just look like guys from a construction site wearing some tactical vests. I prefer some type of military uniform on military figures. Those boots look goofy, as does the head sculpt.
Cool looking figure line. But I’ll skip on these as I have no attachment to them. I’m only scratching the nostalgic itch for figures I had when I was a kid
Am I the only one that thinks the arms on atlas were injected with liquid to make them look bigger? like those dumbass russians do. I can't stop laughing at that. Vest looks sick, and shotgun looks even better. boots and arms on this one look funny. Thank you bobby for the review.
Bout time Vala got a new body type. Doesn't have to reuse the same 2 bucks over and over again while shitting on Hasbro for reusing bucks. Joking aside this figure looks great. An extra head would have been nice but I'm sure he'll do an upgrade pack he did with the female figures down the road. I will say I'm worried those extra mags in his vest might get in the way when trying to get him to shoulder and aim his weapon. I don't know, is anyone else kind of over the whole "removable magazines" with action figure weapons thing? I feel like I'd rather just get more accessories over having removable and extra mags, or maybe use the extra money to add more paint apps or something.
I think that it's different between a smaller company like Valaverse and a giant corporation like Hasbro reusing things. Operation: Monster Force from Fresh Monkey Fiction is also reusing parts but they're a smaller company too though it's doing a lot of things right like incredible paint apps and a boatload of accessories and modular parts. I haven't tried to shoulder the weapon on Atlas but I do think that these vests need to have modular pouches and all that. There's so many things in the way and it's not designed to be removeable. Like we can't add backpacks if there's a built in radio pouch in the way. Extra mags I feel are a necessity if they are removable from the weapon. But AF weapons have a nice snug fit. My Classifieds weapon mags fall out all the time and there are never any spares. I agree on more paint apps. The newest series needs paint to bring out all the details and also to take down the glossiness of the plastic look.
I mean pants colors are a nitpick/preference, and dont ruin the figure for anyone who uses that as a critique. Other than that it looks solid, I'm excited for this wave and hopefully the QC is good.
The drum magazine on the leg looks pretty damn cool
He looks good. I got the entire wave.
Looks great hopefully mine will ship soon👍🏻👍🏻

Bobby already have a upgraded crotch piece. Send him your order number to get one shipped out to you
Yea ima try to swap them out with shipwrecks legs
Looks legit!
That headswap is a perfect Obiwon Nairobi figure 😅

Hopefully BBTS doesn’t take forever to ship these

Still looks good.
Yeah the jeans/legs/boots are a weird design choice and where this character falls short
Just got mine and haven’t had a chance to open him up yet
Great review
He looks like Edge from U2 on roids
@@Ultramentsh I was saying the same thing 🤣

I don't think the new waists are in yet

Darker pants and darker boots definitely would have had a better look

I love the new weapons that are coming with each of series 5. That K-bar looks great.
Thinking of trying that vest on Flint hmmm
These two videos saved me 60$. No thank you to Mr. Uggs.Thank you sir!
The drum on the leg isnt happening

I don't mess with things myself, I lack the patience and talent 😂 but there are some great customizers out there that do some amazing "improvements"
Hey guys, I appreciate the input. Thank you!
Bit the bullet and ordered them lol my Atlas's eyes are off so it looks like he's looking left, I don't mind it though something different on the shelf hehe, I have to give Bobby probs on the packaging though, wish the green robot was still in stock aswell hehe :)
Reminds me of Julian from Trailer Park Boys lol.
Bobby needs to work more on the big bulk figures he looks off proportions
I’m getting rock n roll vibes from this figure.

It's been a while since we got a good backpack in AF
@beesbattlegrounds and the fact they opened and you could throw things inside the was a step above and such a great use of empty space
I'm glad to see valaverse using a new buck but think I'll pass on this guy.
A first-rate review of Atlas and his cool accessories!
Great review.
I'm going to miss the balaclava extra heads, I will pick one of these up at some point. Thank you for sharing him with us.
...ANOTHER GREAT REVIEW
Other than trigger and the reign of fire figure I have no interest in these figs.nothing is really wrong with them necessarily but it just ain't it?
Yeah nothing new is really being brought to the table. More of a side step than a step forward.

Seeing the actual figure I still think he looks like a younger version of my dad
Have you shown your dad the figure? What did he say?
@@beesbattlegrounds I did and he's happy that's how I see him
I don't like his head gear other than that I can't wait to get him. Great review sir.
Pretty, pretty sure that's Julian from TPB 🤔
Atlas WAS one of the least that eye was looking forward to. Seeing him in your video makes me wish that eye had him now!!! And that troopers head on Atlas body is 🔥🔥🔥

Basically a white Roadblock. Still waiting for something original from this line
He looks nothing like Roadblock, though? No tanktop, no army fatigues, no ridiculous .50 cal squad weapon carried by a single person. He's got unigue gear on. We can't call every big guy buck a copy of Roadblock.
You will never get original designs in this line. It’s gonna be copied from somewhere
How? Because...they're both big, I guess?
That's pretty much where the similarities end and even that's a stretch lmao.
This line isn't as original as the creator likes to believe, but this figure doesn't have anything in common with Roadblock other than bigger muscles.
Roadblock is cooler imo.
Those arms look disproportionately too large. I dig the vest though.

Need a creative director who actually has talent. The problem here is with character design.
Cool looking figure line. But I’ll skip on these as I have no attachment to them. I’m only scratching the nostalgic itch for figures I had when I was a kid
"Shotgun specialist" smh what's next? a screwdriver technician?
😂😂😂 well the big guy couldn't be a machine gunner, that's too main stream
LoL !!! Some breaching tools would be a nice “Atlas Pack” addition. All fitting into a custom back carrier? Yes ?
Am I the only one that thinks the arms on atlas were injected with liquid to make them look bigger? like those dumbass russians do. I can't stop laughing at that. Vest looks sick, and shotgun looks even better. boots and arms on this one look funny. Thank you bobby for the review.
Yes, I agree. Just a little TOO big on both of those
