The 90s was a great decade for the NBA and because of that you get things like Michael Jordan and Space Jam, I mean don’t get me wrong there are great players in the NBA now like LeBron James, but with that being said, again what a decade the 90s were, I mean the 80s had, (and still does to this day), great music, great movies and just all around great pop culture but the 90s they had the NBA and yes I know the NBA has been around before that but I just think the 90s were the best decade for the NBA or at the very least one of the best decades, I’m glad I was born in 1996.

The only reason it was even in Space Jam is because by the time that movie came out the song was already being used in the NBA, MLB and NHL as well as other sports events around the world. Space Jam had little to do with the popularity of the song, sports events in general made it popular way before the movie. So it shouldn't be linked to just Space Jam in the title.
