- Oh my did that took a long time!
First of, it is finally time to put those two teasers that I put to rest. The first one didn’t ring any bell to anyone (except one comment that apparently TH-cam didn’t like because it kinda never showed up ever again after I read it the first time…) But the second one made a lot of people realize what was going on. Good job everyone! So what started of as a normal and very classy remaster of one of my remixes slowly mutated into this behemoth, let me tell you basically how I decided to do that. As I was listening to the original Lavender Town theme, I really started to look deeper and deeper and I found that there was SO MUCH more that I could’ve done in the first version, I kinda got mad at myself for a moment, but in the end, I said « Let’s do this » and, instead of opening my old Garageband file for Lavender Town (which is acutally nicknamed OH GOD WHY on my laptop because why not) I decided to open a brand new document and start for stratch.
After weeks of throwing ideas after ideas into the mix, I started realizing that the song was going to be much, much bigger than what I was used to, which was kind of scary. I’m the first one to admit that I’m not a fan of songs that stretch for 10 min and more, because it becomes redondant over time, but with this one, I really tried to add some variety in the instrumentations, in the modification of the theme and by adding more than just Lavender Town in the whole piece.
Indeed, the second teaser was actually the theme from inside the Pokémon Tower, which can be heard in the song, it is mixed with the Lavender Town song, but I though that adding another melody in the whole mix would’ve interesting. It is not the only one, tho. I remembered that, at some point, Blue shows up in the tower to fight us, so to illustrate that, you’ll be able to hear the beginning of the trainer battle theme. I’ve added some original melodies as well, like the one I call the Tower Entrance, which is a long chord progression that leads to a massive melody about in the middle of the entire piece. I really wanted to explore contrast in this song, which is why we have big and intense clusters right before slow and sad melody, that becomes tense right after. This is kind of my way to illustrate the contrast that the original Lavender Town did in the game, having a graveyard and stories about death in the middle of a playful kids game in kind of a big contrast (kinda).
It is still possible to hear the « original » remix that I made a few months ago in the song, there is just way more content in between all of it. I also re-used the photos from the last video, which brought me a bit of nostalgia, but anyways.
Also you may notice some weird instruments being put into the mix. Those are my new instruments that I got when I upgraded my East West Account, let’s just say that I am really happy to have those.

Bloody hell, this is beyond excellence. You formed a short piece from pokémon into this beuatifully flowing symphony. The atmosphere you bring across is always spot on and works so well. And the transitions into a part of the piece that sounds so different yet so fitting is flawless. Most of the time it would or could sound forced when mixing multiple styles but you make it work perfectly. This is one of your best and I love it

There was a guy who said "There's a white hand on your shoulder." in pokemon red for the game-boy color. I forgot that, mostly. After i read your comment i had a feeling of deja vu and then after i remembered the line and i looked at both my shoulders fully expecting there to be a white hand on one. The best horror is the unsettling things in a otherwise happy go lucky setting.

Really liked it. The ending was very similar to "Trials with the Darksaber" by Kevin Kiner in terms of what it felt like emotionally.
This is amazing. How you were able to turn a short melody into an 11-minute symphony is beyond me. This is brilliant.
This isn't just one 'spooky' part, it occupies a whole range of emotions... fear, sadness, uncertainty, calmness, happiness, heroism, vengeance, the feeling of impending doom.... Hell, I'm writing this comment as I hear it. A huge variation of instruments, loads of harmonic elements... This sounds like the work of someone who has gone through 20+ years of formal music education.
How did you make that reverse reverb effect thing at 7:29?
What instruments did you use to that emulate that bass at 8:26? And you amplified it with something else at 8:36?
Oh my god, that battle theme at 8:35.
And I got chills once you reprised that last chorus of Lavender town at the end. This is beyond beautiful and I definitely could see those many hours put into this. No other orchestral cover for Lavender town can put so much emotion.

So that reverse effect is actually just a reverse audio, I played the notes backward, then put it into .AIF and then just reversed it, I wanted to have some sort of creepypasta part and a different texture.
That basse is made with two contrabasson, which is basically one of the lower instruments in the entire orchestra. On plays very low and the other plays an octave higher, they are also double with men choir that sing very deep.
All of this is then amplyfied by a didgeridoo at 8:36, it's a really big native american horn that has some major bass going for it so I wanted to put it on the spotlight for a moment, it's also heard at the end, when the bass just becomes really aggressive at 11:02 Also the bass drum and the tam-tam helps with the beat of this section
I've just made my own rendition of Lavender Town, and I thought I'd come back to check yours. Still a small change in views.. :(

By far the best orchestral version of the Lavender Town theme I have heard. I was just playing leaf green and came to lavender town and thought, you know this would be awesome in a classical style. You did not disappoint sir, you did not!

Well that was a rollercoaster of emotions that I was not ready for.

I recently thought about how a disturbing amount of Ghost Pokémon are just that - Actual souls of deceased humans, who, through some dark turn of fate, were bound to an object at the time of their death, be it a ceremonial death mask, their own coffin, a runic grave marker, a simple stump or tree they died by, or even the sword used to end their lives, and were then discovered by a complete stranger and forced to battle for their lives against powerful monsters. This inspired an idea in me for a character to use in a forum game that I take part in.
This character would be an occultist from ancient times, who would have had an eerie obsession with studying Ghost-type and Dark-Type Pokémon in a search for eternal life, driving him to visit the oldest or most haunted places in the Pokémon world. His search would drive him to isolate himself in his chosen dwelling for much of his waking hours, cutting off all connections with everyone he knew and only rarely showing his face. This would drive him quite mad, and, one day, having taken his current residence in Lavender Town, he seemed to completely snap, and ran straight into the Pokémon Tower, never to be seen again.
Or so it would seem. Legend says that, should one wander unaware into some of the darkest, most forgotten corners of the Pokémon world, one may find an eerie amount of Ghost Pokémon watching them, or even catch a glimpse of a strange humanoid figure peering at them from the shadows, with a malicious glint in its shadowed eyes...perhaps they, too, may vanish without a trace, and one more ghost pokemon may be sighted by some other hapless explorer...
Anyway, I was looking for a Lavender Town remix, since, if I ever acted on this idea, I’d likely need a battle theme for when this Poké-Necromancer was confronted in battle. Let me just say, out of all the Lavender Town remixes I’ve listened to on TH-cam, none have fit the mood I was looking for.

This is EXACTLY what I was looking for! It has dramatic pitch, while also, at other parts, having a melancholy air and an ominous drone at perfect points! Each segment can be paired to a different scene regarding this character idea of mine! Congratulations, my friend, this is absolutely breathtaking!

This is really amazing! When I saw that T.L.B. uploaded a new video I did not expect it to be 11 minutes long. And, well.. ya still pulled it off, ya made the whole 11 minutes interesting. As you mentioned in the description about the contrast, it works! And the different feels also gave me a kick of nostalgia :D
All in all, another great masterpiece to be proud of.
I don't think that I can say anything that hasn't already been said in earlier comments. This sounds absolutely incredible! Maybe is Game Freak decides to make a remake of Fire Red and Leaf Green *cough* they could hit you up for this masterpiece as new music for Lavender Town, or at least make it more intense and majestic like this is.

This is what I want to play if Spiritomb ever gets to play a special part in a main series game. You enter the tower of graves, evil laughs echo throughout the cavern like tomb. Each time you go up a floor, the laughing grows louder, more fierce. Halfway up the tower, haunter are spotted glaring you down, ready to attack. You decide to run while you still can. The pokemon block the stairway leading down, only one way to go. Ghost pokemon scream as you run flight after flight, until you reach the top floor. No graves, no sound. No pokemon or ghost in sight. Just an eerie silence with a strange looking stone sitting in the center of the room. The candles only provide so much light, and suddenly they go out. You hear movement, but you can't track it down. The movement stops. You feel something brushing against your back. The candles light ablaze causing the room to glow. You feel a terrible presence lurking behind you. It breaths dowb your neck. You know once you move it will attack, are you ready to battle? In a quick dash, you spin around, pokeball in hand. Ready to call out a pokemon, you are filled with dread when you realize nothing is there. Bothinf but the same odd stone that once sat in the center of the room. Sending out your absol, the small ghastly and misdrevouse run away at the sight of a dark type pokemon. The presence from before seems to be gone. You and absol begin to descend the stairway, never daring to look back, fearing what kind of horrors they may see.

Is it alright if I used this song in its entirety for a MAP I want to make? I'll be sure to give you full credit and link this video in the description. What is a MAP? A map is when someone takes a song, splits it into parts, and posts it on TH-cam with their rules or specifications attached. Other people then comment what part they would like to have. It is up to the host (me) to decide if they get the part or not. Once they have it they animate or draw pictures for their part depending on whether its a pmv (picture music video) map or normal map. MAP itself stands for Multi Animator Project. once all the parts have been completed the host edits them together.
