Beautiful Anica! You’ve inspired me to do this year’s inktober in my zentangle journal. Not as large as the opus, but big enough. I love how you’re using mooka. It’s kind of a unifier for the piece as a whole.
You can certainly add them! I sometimes opt for what I call “section shading” instead of shading individual object, especially when they are tiny. But it’s not that one approach is correct, and the other isn’t. 😊 And thanks! 🥰
I don't like it when people say this pattern was invented by... I have been doodling and drawing for 40 years and have drawn so many patterns that I wouldn't have the nerve to say " you can't draw that, I invented it" . Imagine if piccaso or Di vinci said the same thing. It annoys me so much. ART IS ART NOBODY INVENTED IT!!!!!!!
I understand you are very annoyed. But I feel you have misunderstood. No one is saying a pattern is theirs. They simply destructed the pattern into steps to follow to draw it. The whole point of these pattern names are for reference and referral. The Zentangle method is more than doodling. It has steps to follow to enhance the users experience and set the path for a relaxing and zen experience. The patterns used are presented in a way that most people can understand and follow to create one of a kind pieces of art. I am forever grateful to Rick and Maria for sharing this Zentangle gift to the world. Also for the amazing creative people like Zen Lina who freely give of their time to share their techniques and experiences with us for free!. I don’t think she deserves to have comments like you have made put on her feed. It really makes me sad. I hope you join alongside of these videos and experience the impact it can have on you.
You are right - many tangles are really simple and they are not new inventions at all. I don’t think that I ever said that someone invented a tangle. In our community we just use the name of person who de-constructed it, which is the person who created step-by-step instructions for others to follow if they need them to reproduce the pattern/tangle. We name tangles so that it’s easier to refer to them. 😊
I never heard that there ware any restrictions to draw any patterns, even if someone deconstructed patterns (we call them - tangles) into the steps. Please draw them using the same deconstruction or different. It’s absolutely welcome. Interesting to see your works, they should be beautiful
This is going to be spectacular. Beautiful line work, just beautiful.

There's an expression "winging it" which means making it up as you go. Thanks for another lovely drawing. Is a pretty one.
I’m indeed just winging it! 😊 Thank you, Rimona! 🩷

I think the orbs in Maryshel could use white shading, don't you? To make them look more round. BTW Your English is so impressive!
