Lydias shot on 17 in the howling wind and rain was astonishing, to me that was the winning shot, to get hit by that squall on the toughest hole and to pull off that shot was one for the ages.
Yes, it was an incredible shot under the worst of conditions and pressure.
I totally agreed 🎉
Living Legend Lydia!! 🇳🇿 🏅
The Hall of Famer is on a roll!
Lydia will get her Damehood at the end of the year no question about it 3 Olympic medals, LPGA Hall of Fame LPGA British Open 2024 what's next for Lydia. Us Kiwis are so proud of Lydia, she is exemplary of women's and Men's Golf. 🏆🏆
I can only think that Lydia might ask to delay it until she retires because she doesn't want unnecessary attention like Richie McCaw
Koreans are probably more proud of her, lol.
@@GaryM67-71Hey mate, Lydia Ko grew up in Auckland and learned to play golf at a local golf club there until becoming a professional golfer. Don’t need to be so salty.
Boring
@2Malachi As I'm Korean who living in Auckland YES Exactly
Loved it great result for Lydia. Great commentary and good footage nice work R&A wish we had more!
What finish! so much fun to watch. Cracking highlight reel by the way! quite refreshing to not have the winner splashed across the screen for those of us who couldn't watch live
I'm just glad to watch the final round live on TV! I cried when Lydia won it. True Queen. Love you Lydia! Happy to see you at the top again and again. Hope to see you for a long time. Well done. Thank you.
Proud to be a Kiwi ... Congrats Lydia. Superb final round . Well played & fully deserved. 🏆🏆🏆⛳⛳⛳
Why, Ms Ko is clearly not of your nation.

Lydia Ko is about as great an ambassador for golf as I have ever seen. What a performance, what a year !!! Olympic champion, Open Champion !!
Great golf by so many ladies on sunday under tough conditions. They are the world's best for reason.
boring too

What a tournament !!! 2 of the greatest of all time in their hayday maybe 3 if Vu continues what shes doing. Well done R&A realizing Ladies golf is sooo good and deserves playing such iconic golf course under major tournament pressures.
It really isn't so good. Really, only 77,000 views, for the whole world.

To win in those conditions...
Absolute Champion Lydia!
Those top players were not going anywhere,& played a hell of a game.
But the Olympic gold medalist played some top golf at the end there & wasnt going to be denied
Awesome Lydia!!❤️🙏
Great job AIG as well supporting this great tournament double thumbs up
Champion Women Golfer of the Year if you please!🙏🙏🙏
The course, weather and tough competition turned this into a real trial of mental and physical stamina. Lydia was up to the challenge and was a deserved winner.
She played a game of being up in the top 5 and just let her game flow to the final day and killed it.. many more to come..😂🎉
Great editing and great highlights of the final round. This is how golf highlights should be. I feel every other golf platform should take notes and follow suit. Bravo 👏👏👏
What a finish to this tournament. After battling insane wind for 3 days, we were left with 5 or 6 of the very best battling it out over a memorable last 9. Kudos to Woad - what a shotmaker she is. Cant wait to see her career take off. Felt a bit sorry for Yin after her puts on 17 and 18 were so so close - that's golf! Liking Vu more and more - genuinely top class and shows a bit of personality. Was great to see Korda really digging deep and battling hard - her bunker shot on 17 was phenomenal. But thought her demeanour all day was weirdly negative - did not look like she was happy or enjoying it at all. I get 'game face', but this was something else. Contrast that with Shin who is truly one of a kind. She was the opposite and looked like she was loving every second of being there. What a player. But take nothing away from Lydia. She was so locked in all day, and over the closing holes it was like she was saying 'this is a how a hall of fame plays'. Her approach on 15, the recovery on 16, the way she played 17 (in howling wind and rain - that second shot will stay in the memory a long time) and then a classy birdy on 18. A true all time great of the game. I hope she plays on a few more years so we get to enjoy her talent, but if she does decide she's had enough, what a way to cap her career.
What a super star. Such grace and poise, such a cool, comfortable looking golfer.
WTG Lydia cementing the Hall of Fame place. What a great final round all the golfers gave us.
Hall of fame? 🤣🤣🤣

She’s such in inspiration always fighting hard
The nice ones do win! So happy for LK
How do they play so well in that howling wind? Well done to Lydia Ko, not a bad month for her Olympic champion now the winner at St Andrews
She is cookin' this year! Whataplaya!
A well deserving winner.....Lydia...G.O.A.T❤

Go Lydia 🎉🎉🎉
Go on Lydia what a champion 🎉🎉🎉
what a performance lydia 🐐
We got 3 days of Hall and Hull coverage thank goodness they finally showed the real competition. Well done L.K.
Thank you Ladies for a great back 9 in tough conditions, being inspirational for the next generation.Hope those missed puts from Vu don't haunt her and a bit sad Nelly not win but hey Lydia a fine champion😊
well olympic champ does it again, winning tradition. Congratulations Ms. Ko.🏆🏆🏆.
Nelly let her lead slipped away multiple times 😅
Didn't even know it was being played. It's disgusting how little air time women's golf gets.
I really enjoy watching the women play as there smooth technique is great to watch.
Show more women's tournaments 😊
Sky Sports showed all ladies majors this year. Plus a huge volume of LET andLPGA tournaments.
Lydia has always had such sharp focus, and has matured into a really solid player. It was a fantastic year for her. So long to Lexi Thompson, golf has not been fair to a wonderful golfer - robbed of a major by unhealthy golf rules which must've had an impact on her psyche from that point forward. Also, I am surprised that Nelly, her caddie and anyone on her team hasn't noticed that the shot that has been haunting her and getting her in trouble this year has been 'flying the pin' long. How many times has there been a replay of her dead on target and going over the green, causing bogey or worse?
Lets go Lydia!!!
Delighted Lydia Ko won. But what happened to charley hull?!!!! I thought she would set St Andrews on fire after Round 1.
Proud of our kiwiko
She's Korean.
@@GaryM67-71 She is but brought up and learnt her golf in New Zealand. She has the NZ character of modesty and gracce - a true ambassadoress for both countries and golf and women everywhere.

WNBA players should be tied to seats and made to watch the respect and affection these sports people afford each other
Just like the All Black's and Black Fern's the Kiwi's play very good in rainy weather or windy🍃🌂💧⚡🌀❄☁⛳🏉proud of you Lydia☕
Except she's Korean of course.

The conveyor belt of great Korean ladies golfers is truly amazing.
Lydia, as well as being brilliant, is pure tough.
Not the best highlights. Should have shown the double of Korda. Congrats to Lydia Ko though 👍
Guys I thought Charlie Hull won this tournament? Oh sorry I didn’t realise it finished on Sunday.
I was gunning for Charley-she deserves a major-but when she faded I was happy to witness the Lydia, Lilia et al show, and was especially chuffed to see Lydia win. Not only a wonderful ambassador for golf, but she speaks and bears herself so well. Thanks R&A and all those who contributed to this tournament.
LYDIA!!! DOOOF DOOOF!!! LYDIA!!!!
The SLOW PLAY by Shin on 17 ruined the experience for our family. How wasn't she penalized R&A, they were already on the clock?? Terrible example for average and especially young viewers...
Who put these highlights together? Someone who hasn’t watched much golf obviously.
Charley Hull went from P1 to P20 😂😂
I support Lydia AND Charli, I don’t know what your problem is, they are all great golfers 🙄
@@mikejones-go8vz no problem...just that Hull is more interested in looking sexy than playing golf...
@@MultiCklee bit of both really, it’s all about marketing what you have I guess
@@mikejones-go8vz i mean no disrespect to her. I think she is hot....one of the more sexier lpga golfer out there
That assumes she will accept one.
Ladies European Tour didn't bother to enter any players then?
There were many European women playing
Full highlights? 10 minutes? pathetic, even Sky Sports aren't bothering to show final round highlights
Pretty terrible highlights package tbh
Nice of a few people to be there for the presentation. At the men's it's a massive grandstand still full.
Yeah, the weather was horrible but still, if people left, they missed some amazing golf.
Does anyone have a link to watch paint drying please?
