That’s good to hear Todd! If you’re interested in seeing more of Houma check out my video on The Rougarou Featival, it’s one of the best events Houma has in my opinion!
And how I remember those long lines at the drawbridges. also missed all the fireworks(and crawfish) once we moved to Colorado. Colorado Springs had banned fireworks from the city.
I'm still dealing with them 😂🤣. I live right down Bayou Dularge soon as you turn off either 😂. Not gonna lie, other than the mosquitoes its really peaceful down here. I love my city ❤
Thanks Brad, I appreciate it! I’m working on a video about The Rougarou Festival as I type this which will be out some time this week. Hope you check it out!
I was born here..August 26th,1981 at Terrebonne General...and was raised on Johnson Street in Barrios.... my sister April of 1986 My mother grew up on Roussell right next to Harmon Park My father grew up on Bourg St. not too far away.

Nice video! Was searching for some old "The Beat" videos from the 90s and this came up. Imma see what else you got in Houma on here. I saw you mentioned Rougaroux Festival. Where are you from? I've been here my whole life. In my 40s now😊
Thanks for watching, glad you liked it! There is a video of The Rougarou Festival from last year on the channel. As far as I can remember, that is the only two videos that feature Houma.
I don’t want to make a promise I can’t keep, but I will add it to my list of potential future videos and take a look into it, and thank you for the suggestion!

I remember those bridges as well. That’s a bummer about the fireworks, Houma now allows fireworks within the city limits.
I'm still dealing with them 😂🤣. I live right down Bayou Dularge soon as you turn off either 😂. Not gonna lie, other than the mosquitoes its really peaceful down here. I love my city ❤
Enjoyed revisiting Houma. My dad was in charge of the building of the Houma tunnel.

My dad helped build the tunnel and its still hanging on 😊❤ love Houma La
