In the 1990s, Sam Raimi had planned to direct Thor under Twentieth Century Fox, but the studio passed on the project. Raimi would later direct a trilogy of films on Spider-Man and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022), two other Marvel Comics superheroes.
Although he admittedly he let me down with Spider-Man 3, I still admire him and respect him as a director. The best of luck with any future endeavors you may have, Mr. Raimi.
