I was lucky to be at the first Gillette show, it was a bit cold that night. But it was a lot colder on Saturday. Plus it was pouring. Pouring. Pouring. For hours. I was about 20 yards away from her when she performed this, I was on the floor. It could not have been raining any harder and by this point every person not wearing a poncho looked like they fell in a pool, myself included. She still killed every song and I would do it all over again, even with having to sit in a car soaking wet for 3 hours after the show ended
@@etienne9747 yes traffic. Gillette Stadium is in a small town with a population smaller than the stadiums capacity and there’s only one road in and out. So needless to say for any large event getting in and especially out is an absolute nightmare and can take 3 hours

I was at the Gillette show. It was an absolute deluge, especially towards the end. That she was able to perform as well as she did under those circumstances is truly remarkable!
I’m at a loss for words, really. Just look at this…the lady is such a trooper. Answer me seriously; would Madonna or Streisand have done this back in the day? I shake my head in pure astonishment.
I worry about her health with this tour, especially with rain shows. The tour itself is a grind performing 52 shows, with shows being back to back (to back at some venues). Each show is 44 song long totaling 3 hours 15 minutes of constantly singing and dancing that takes a beyond belief amount of mental endurance and physical stamina to do. Adding in weather on top of that, she's now performed several times this tour in cold rain for hours. All of these factors stress the immune system. She's going to get sick. She's been sick before on other tours and performed through it, but that's not a good thing to do. I also don't want her to feel crappy and terrible during her performances either. There's also the factor that water and electronics do not mix. Hopefully the shows dates near / at the end of the tour don't have a subpar experience due to the equipment being worn out from water damage.
Pretty sure there is some waterproofing going on otherwise she would have been electrocuted already. It’s obvious she thrives on this 😊and has the stamina.
There are duplicates even triplicates of every instrument, costume, lighting can, microphone, everything. For her and her dancers and band. She has the budget to pull this off, no problem.

If there was lighting she would not have been allowed to play. Kenny played Gillette in 2011 in the pouring rain at the beginning of hurricane Irene or in a storm in Dallas in the pouring rain for an hour before he was forced to stop the show because the venue forced him. So yeah there are a bunch of other artists that do the same thing. A lot of the time it is the venue that will not let them play. They don't want to miss out on a pay check for the show. Some artists might choose to due to safety but it's nothing new for an artist to do.

Dynamic mic is prob fine, Most speakers and equipment are probably fine but there’s noway the piano survived that. If you spilt a bottle of water on the piano it would probably ruin it, They’re notoriously sensitive to the elements. 🎹

Omg it was so cold and rainy that my dress was completely soaked through even though I had two punches on, and it was also so windy and cold that I think I have a cold myself now.
