The theme of this game is recycling, and Konami recycled ideas from Ganbare Goemon 2 on the SFC. I'd say they did this on purpose to poke fun at themselves.
This one, is finally mine, the catch, it came with the first PS1 game, which I already have a copy of, and the downer, the middle PS1 Goemon game. For $50 for all 3, I can't complain. This is the one I truly wanted from the start, as well as the first PS1 game, now I have the trilogy.

Right there with you dude. I'm also tried on the Retroid Pocket 2 and RG280V. I've searched all over the internet and the only thing I could find was a random forum post theorizing that there is some anti-piracy thing before the boot menu that doesn't allow it to run. Works perfect on PC emulators though.

This seems distinctly inferior to Goemon's Great Adventure. Still wished they released this and more Goemon games in English though, I would've played them.

That Impact theme sure is catchy, shame this game is rather pricey, I'd love to put it with the 2D Goemon title I have on PS1, along with the 4 SNES/SFC games, the 1 Gameboy title I have (plays like the Famicom Goemon titles), and the 2 Goemon overhead action platformers on the Famicom.

The theme of the game is recycling, in case you didn't catch the main bad guy, and the games bosses. Not to mention those can shaped enemies. The entire game is one big injoke.

I like my Goemon games to be sidescrollers (except for the first 2 FC games, and the first Game Boy one, those can be excused), this one fits the bill far better than the N64 ones (the second N64 one is alright though as it plays like a 2D and 3D mix). Superior you say? Nah, if those N64 Goemon games had not come to the US, their reputation would not be what they are now, this one is more unknown as it never left Japan. This one also plays like the SFC Goemon games too.

heh, they recycled all the music from the N64 games.

The theme of the game is recycling, in case you didn't catch the main bad guy, and the games bosses. Not to mention those can shaped enemies. The entire game is one big injoke.
@@Bloodreign1 yeah and they expect it from players, too. They go so far as to name Thaisamba “Thaisamba 2” in the N64 because it had appeared in a previous game.
I have no idea what to do in the ice village, even following the video I can't get the pass. Do I also go the same characters??
1. You have to meet Kitarou's grandmother in Kaiki Village. You will learn that Kitarou promised his grandmother to buy Castella Cake, but he still had not returned.

It looks fun and I like the graphics but it also seems like they just reused a lot of material from the Super Famicom series.

@@Dexshurun1988 The running gag in this game is recycling, so of course Konami recycled a bunch of ideas from past games, it's quite fitting.
That's why it's so good.
A lot of the music is also from Goemon’s Great Adventure on the N64
The N64 versions of Goemon are FAR superior...
One maybe, still think the SFC versions are the best
@@lastboss9108 SFC ones had more charm and more colour. These look kinda washed out graphic wise.
I like my Goemon games to be sidescrollers (except for the first 2 FC games, and the first Game Boy one, those can be excused), this one fits the bill far better than the N64 ones (the second N64 one is alright though as it plays like a 2D and 3D mix). Superior you say? Nah, if those N64 Goemon games had not come to the US, their reputation would not be what they are now, this one is more unknown as it never left Japan. This one also plays like the SFC Goemon games too.
