Mr. Robot I'm very certain that Robot style is just robot style and animation style is animation. This is what I hear from Taco and many OG Japanese dancers. Animation style is based on animating Popping movement and base style is sinbad style. Animation styles are not real characters, they are like Cyclops, T-Rex, Medusa, Spartan and goblin etc.

@@kohyamada9471 I understood what you meant, but Animation as a style in itself is talking about something different entirely. When you are speaking of the umberella term, it doesn't get that specific.
Very few people who specialize in "animation style" today exclusively do sinbadding and the literal "shaky" animation that you are referring to.

Robotting falls under animation my friend. Take it from someone who has studied dance for almost 20 years
Think about it robotting, waving, they are all derived from ANIMATION like cartoons, something in nature, stop motion, or movies. You are animating yourself to look like something else. That is an explanation in my own words.
Robotting would not fall under boogaloo nor would waving, therefore they are animation. Thats another way to think about it. The classic war was always boogaloo vs animation STYLES
