Congrats on being able to go to worlds in master duel this year. Surely you can go to worlds in TCG as well.
most of my focus will be on MD but ill still try at nats , if i play vs a friend in top cut tho ill most likely just give the win away
@TheDBGrinder seems dumb to do if you play a friend in top cut for example. Be better just to play to win at that point. Understand if it wasna regionals for example.

Game one he should have held Shifter for their first action; it would have been better to also callout potential droplet plays as well. Then he would have only been hit by a imperm, and at that point nib; and he can still make a board through that
Thats the thing, sometimes it is not the best choice to shotgun shifter in the draw or standby phase. Like you said, waiting for your opponent to invest some resources on to the field, then using shifter can be game changing. Unfortunately using shift in the main phase makes you lose to triple tactic talents/thrust. Shifter is so busted that it is worth the risk.

10:20 Throne can actually trigger here. While Shifter is applying any card even those that are destroyed by battle or used to pay cost is considered to be banished by card effect. Surprised no one has brought it up yet.

However, i believe the difference here is that Throne isn't triggered because Phantom left due to battle and it's irrelevant where it ends up, unlike Tradegy that only checks if it's banished whether it was for battle (after leaving the field) or cost. For reference if anyone wants more info: qa#23992
Q: My Despian Tragedy is sent to my Graveyard, but it is instead banished due to the『any (cards/monsters) sent to the Graveyard are banished instead』effect of my opponent's Macro Cosmos, Dimensional Fissure or Dimension Shifter. Can I now activate Despian Tragedy's ①st effect, which can be activated if it is banished by a card effect?
A: In the situation you describe, Despian Tragedy was banished by a card effect. Therefore, its ①st effect can be activated. (Even if the original reason for sending Despian Tragedy to the Graveyard was it being destroyed by battle, or you paying a cost, if it is banished by the effect of Macro Cosmos, Dimensional Fissure, or Dimension Shifter, it was banished by a card effect.)
this is not true for the case of throne triggering.

With fiendsmith you start cutting yubel engine, 2 spirit, 2 squirm, there's some ocg builds on 1 samsara
@@gigadon120 cutting squirmer in yubel is crazy, I'd rather go over 40 to play three of him. Cutting samsara I could see but samsara + smith is a pretty formidable two card combo since smith can make up for the lack of bodies from lacking throne in just the lotus combo

Why do people shifter on their turn when they brick,i dont get it
I guess it's because he doesn't want to be under shifter on his turn. Even though rb can "freely" play under shifter sometimes he can hurt you too little bit

Lurrie in attack. Attack with Spirit (1400) + Phantom (1400), crash Lurrie, Yama revives Fiendmith and pops Spirit to Special another Yubel, attack with Yubel (1400) + attack with Fiendsmith (400) + attack with Lacrimosa (2400) + attack with Sequentia (1200) then burn with Lacrimosa for another 1200 and 9400 total. Even crashing Sequentia would work, (1400 + 1400, crash -200, +1400 + 400 +2400 +1200 burn for 8200 total)
Game 3 (@9:50) casually loses a hand from hand when Pain triggers Throne to get both Yubel + Terror then spin them both for Phantom while keeping Spirit and the search in hand. On the opponent's turn not only do they miss the Spirit in hand for a free body, they would have gotten the followup.
they couldn't use multchummy when they used shifter

No this is what it says, shifter that was used was completely fine, you just can’t use a different mulcharmy only one mulcharmy that turn it was used.

I mean... it can. If you do not go for the typical Branded stuff like Branded fusion, as the engine does have a nice chunk of Tuners, extenders and Spells that have effects in the GY for Whitewood cards to freely send. Something like Quem, Albion the Shrouded Dragon, some Branded Spells. Pretty easy lvl 12 Synchro access and Branded utility.
