She speaks so good English which these generation children can't ,even the interviewer she is better than the news reader nowadays so calm and soothing conversation
Pranam to this great personality. Promoting any classical forrmat it is hard in the present context but following legendary artist like her we can surely fine an avenue to carry forward our art forms which is absolutely our own and define our heritage and culture.
Thank u for posting this video. I had wish to watch her video of talking interview from my childhood. Thank u for the legendary icon who taken the dance form chadir into a honour status from a particular community to a respectively movements.
According to the legendary Balasaraswati amma it needed no refinement let alone revival. These terms were used to steal the art form’s ownership. One community today claims ownership to saving this art form. BS!
What a great revolutionary dancer! What happened to that spirit of revolutionizing the Art of Bharatanatyam? People try to fix themselves to the traditions of the age old times! That's why only one Rukmini Atte is respected!
Wow... what a profound statement that was- " It is not by your movement you express the feeling, it is by your feelings that you express your movement" .. Something that every young dancer should remember!!
Wait, i didn't get the last point of ma'am talking about bharatanatyam stimulating the lower feeling... What did ma'am meant by that, can anyone explain pls.
Highly realised artist. Completely spiritual.

For the first time i saw madam interview...
There is an incredible statement here. It is not through your movement that you express feeling. But thru your feeling express movement.
Her each and every word has so meaningful and as a dancer I can relate too , pranam guru maa

Every present day classical Dancer ought to Thank Smt. Rukmini Devi for reviving our traditional dance form of Bharatanatyam. Great Soul that she is.
raja shekar I think the word you’re looking for is refining. The original dance need not any reason for revival.
My dear attei .....namaskaram....
