LOVE IT LOVE IT I remember growing up. my father own pretty blue skylark 66, with the console between the two front seats , it had a chrome compartment using a key to open it. Growing up as a kid , those seats was hot as heck during the summertime 😂 we did has to buy seat cushion back then. or put a towels in those seats 😂 cuz they wasn't leather seats for sure. We still have pictures of the car my father had. Good days growing as a kid back then. Thanks for sharing beautiful car you have. Wish I have one now. to give to my son. 🥰. Bring back memories Love It Love It Love It . I also remember those air vents on each side of front seats , where you pull out on the stick , down by your feet area. to give extra cooling while you drive road
The styling is with the Chevelle. Front lights and bezels look like they are from a 68 or 69 Chevelle. This one being prior to that means Chevelle took the style from the Buick. Taillights look like 67 taillights of a Chevelle. Either way both the Buick and Chevelle are cool
Prefer the healthier stance of 15" rubber & later-styled road wheels. A tilt column & factory vacuum gauge on the console would be a few other niceties. Very much a fan of this final-year nailhead.
I bought a maroon one with a black vinyl top, close ratio four speed and 4.56 rear. Very fast in those days. Fantastic car but lifter would float at 102 mph. It beat all comers.
For a moment when he slowed down i thought he was going to burn some rubbers, just a little lol. i notice the 66 front was not a sharp as the 67. Good video.
66 and 67 is almost a totally different car, and not much will interchange. I have a 67 Special Deluxe bought new by my great-grandparents. It's a factory V6 two-tone aqua on aqua. I have been with the Buick club for over 30 years and have never seen another like it.
Oh what memories. I use to own a 66 Skylark, white with the black vinyl top. You still have the car, and what's the mileage? Selling it by chance? Impressive!!!!
Not a powerglide. It is a Super Turbine 300. It has a switch pitch torque converter. BOP used the Super Turbine 300, but the Pontiacs did not have the switch pitch. Chevy used the Powerglide.
I did sell it. A local women bought it for her Husband as a Christmas gift. I do miss this car, 66's are my favorite but after the restoration it was too nice to do anything with. Before the restoration I drove it all the time, even cross country. The car was so good I felt I had to do a full resto on it. I see you on the GS facebook site, seems like you are the 66 guy. I'll get another one down the road.
