My grandma got me this set when I was a little kid and now many years later it’s one of the few trackmaster items I still kept to this day. I’m not sure what about it but I absolutely loved this item. Even though it’s got some flaws it’s one of my favorites. Thank you for another great video 👍
@ItsTrainBoy I want to thank you, not only for inspiring me not only in my own thomas model collection. But for bringing attention to this set in particular, this was one of the only sets I had as a kid and still have though far from its former grace. Because of this Nelson became my favorite pack character and still is. Thanks for showing of a small yet big part of my childhood.
I remember getting this at Walmart when I was very young. idk what happened to it but years later my grandma (may she rest in peace) found one at the Salvation Army (used) and got it for me. I love it
I remember seeing The Nelson At The Quarry Set at a toy store in one of my malls along time ago, it’s kind of like a Take Along/Take N Play set since it’s portable and you should’ve kept it in the box since it’s kinda of rare now.
I had one of these as a kid, and I wish my mom hadn’t made me sell it in a yard sale 😭 I had so much fun playing with Nelson and watching the quarry pup up when I opened it
I remember going to Wal-Mart one rainy afternoon with my Mom and she bought me this. Even though I did not have a sizable Trackmaster track collection to use it with but I still enjoyed it.
Oh my god! I actually had one of these sets when I was a kid! One of my favorite destinations/playsets. This was so nostalgic seeing this again. However, I had lost it when I was about 12 years old. I got it when I was around 5-6 years old.
Man it makes me think of my old Scruffy trackmaster. I have him working with Nelson in a industrial yard called the "Sodor Uranium Coal Kings" due to me knowing absolutely nothing about then Personality wise since they weren't on any of my dvds. I ended up making Scuffy the definition of "Industrial" and Nelson the one friend trying to keep him from overworking himself lol
I remember getting this set from TJ Maxx as a kid. I didnt even know who Nelson was but he became a favorite of mine on the stories I would make with my characters.
You know, I had a Trackmaster Kelly and Patrick when I was young. But I lost them somewhere. I really wanna find all of the Trackmaster Pack characters again.
I had all 3 of them in the booklet and Nelson at the quarry but it was missing Nelson and the rock piece. I agree that there should've been more of them and i would like Mattel to bring the old ones back. But we all know that it's not going to happen.
I actually still own this set the only thing I like about is that if u want a construction site area on your layout this is good set for background scenery (in my opinion).

I think this set is so unique, it shows how hit toys was so creative and innovative. They would do so much for such a nothing character 🙌
