    I started my 1st Dexcom G6 this morning. I followed all of your video instructions to install Glance on my Fitbit Versa. I added myself as a follower. I'm unable to get my Blood Sugar Level (it displays E500 instead and has a yellow caution sign which appears to attempt a refresh when I tap the sign). The timeline trend chart is a straight line. My Fitbit alarms with "Stale Data ... Check Blood Sugar Level." I am hopeful you might have a remedy.

    We use the dexcom follow app on our phone to monitor our son's glucose while he is at college. Our phone, the oneplus 7 pro, is not on the approved list to install the full dexcom app. Do you know if the fitbit or any other smart watch other than Apple could do this?

    • @DiabetesStrong
      @DiabetesStrong  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m not sure, but the Glance watch face only shows the current blood sugar and the graph, so I’d think that as long as you have that data in the Dexcom app I think you’d be ok. I don’t have a good guess for the Apple Watch

      Yes, you’d still need to bring the phone with you. There are currently no watches that can display Dexcom readings without having the phone with you. It would be nice though and the Dexcom G7 should eventually have that option, but only with the Apple Watch

      Hm 🤔 It won’t tell you if the password is incorrect, so if she changed her Dexcom password it will have to be updated. The Fitbit app also needs to be open on her phone or it won’t sync. I’d try these things:
      - make sure you’re FitBit app is open and syncs
      - make sure your Dexcom credentials are correct, sometimes you have to re-add them in the clock face
      - if needed, add another clock face and then reselect Glance

    I've looked through the comments here and it looks like I'm the first to mention the Sense watch. I've followed your instruction and the watch face installed nicely. However I'm not sure about how it well work. I'm having a pairing problem with my Samsung phone. The Sense shows up when the Samsung scans but says theirs an issue with the sense. The sense is communicating okay with Fitbit - I guess by WIFI. I have a question: I don't find a place to share with Dexcom on my Fitbit app. Can you offer any advice with this issue? Thanks.

    • @DiabetesStrong
      @DiabetesStrong  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m not entirely sure I understand the question, but I’ll give it a go, and if I get it wrong, we’ll try again.
      As far as I’m aware there’s not an official Dexcom app for FitBit, so I’ve found that using Glance is the best solution. Whenever I’ve had issues with the connectivity it’s usually the FitBit app that’s glitching. I’ll usually go through the apps, open them up and make sure all of them are syncing.

      @@DiabetesStrong Thanks for your reply. Your demo shows you in your Fitbit app selecting sharing with Dexcom. I don't find the ability to perform what you did. It looks like to me that I don't have the same Fitbit app. Is it difference for different watches?

      Today the dexcom watch face has disappeared from my watch and I don't know why. It looked exactly like the download picture except the graph was all flatlined. It worked for a short time, Dexcom was selected as data source, user id and password entered, share started, data appeared in Glance watch face but is unreliable. Frequently stops updating the data, you can see on the face how long it's been since updating. You can do a refresh right on the face, but pressing multiple times does nothing. Too bad. Would have been nice.

    • @DiabetesStrong
      @DiabetesStrong  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hm, okay, a few things to try could be, 1) entering your password again (sometimes it randomly deletes it), 2) making sure the Fitbit app is open, and 3) making sure you have internet. Hopefully that helps
