busquets passing and defensive work is essential to the barca side,
you need to possess looking to build up the side and cut in with messi/dembele whenever possible,
rakitic and coutinho both have fantastic long shots and are easy to center to for open shots
in this fifa pace isnt everything but you need good passing and dribbling to play with barcelona

Personally I use 4-3-3 (Attacking) and put Messi in cam and I instruct him to stay forward. I do this to either pass and take long shots with him. Then I put Dembele in right wing. I make Dembele stay wide and get in behind and stay forward. And I tell Coutinho to come short and cut inside to take long shots too. And I tell Suarez to get in behind to finish easily. And I tell my full backs to stay back when attacking to defend the opposing wingers if needed.
Thanks BR. It works so well. I dominate my mate who uses Juventus after switching and score lots of goals. My Midfield is Vidal Coutinho Busquets. I also replace Roberto with Semedo for pace then set Dembele to come back on defence.

I have played with Barca for years but never with this set up. I can honestly say this is the best formation and tactics and I have never played better with this team. Thank you BR! The real deal!
I will add, I prefer to play with the offensive style set to Balanced as opposed to Possession. I have found the possession style to be a little sluggish and harder to make any kind of impact in the counter attack. Semedo over Roberto. Everything else is butter, though!

Messi as a false 9 instruction and sticking in center and Dembele and Malcom Cutting to the inside and entering into the area. While Messi looking to give a threw ball. Coutihno and Arthur can also give great threw passes also. And the rest is basically the same he does in this video.
messi shouldn't be instructed for aggressive tackles it depletes his stamina fast as messi has less stamina in game, it should be conservative.

Or you could play the default 4-3-3 with dembele starting then instruct Vidal and Racitic to get and get into the box on crosses this will help with the lack of aerial threats and instruct Sergio to stay back while attacking and cut passing lanes this helps with the defensive work load With these instructions the full backs should be instructed to be balanced on everything so they'll make the runs whenever there's space but won't leave holes on defence. I use 4-3-3 false nine with Coutinho slightly in front as a CAM and Suarez as a CF. This formation works very well for me.
Defensive style is set to balanced while attacking style is set to fast build up with increasing width and players in the box bars.

Kirai you don’t need more outfield players on the bench you gain no advantage from having no keeper on the bench
While if you have a keeper you have an extra one if they get injured or get suspended

The best format for me is 4-3-3 with the 3 front men set to stay forward and get behind. Select stay wide for Dembele stay central for Suarez and cut in for Messi withe Coutihino playing AM . BUSQUETS AND RAKITIC PLAY CM and the back line should always have semedo in it because hes very quick and more agile than roberto.

Either Messi as RF, or RW with free roaming instructions. Besides this, just put two great long shot takers on the cmf positions, but keep the dm. Busquets is great at heading when the opp kick a gk or use long balls from the backline. Plus you want to create a triangle, Messi-rakitic-coutinho-busquets. A middle cm, no matter the instruction, will disrupt the triangle, and won’t position himself well when you are facing counters.
But i don’t agree that 433 holding isolates players. But it depends how you pass the ball around and what instructions you’ve given the WF.
Hey, all i'm saying is when Ter Stegen slide tackles somebody and sees red and there is no sub keeper, I wouldn't want an outfield player between the sticks.

Idk how good this is for you, but this works perfect for me, attacking on. dembele scores at least one through ball over the top or just down the middle chance for me every game he is too fast. He will smoke any defenders in a foot race. Coutinho causing havoc on the left. Suarez for buildup play and lay-offs for dembele. Messi can cut in and also make great wide overlapping runs when you bring the ball up with semedo who is very quick.

i play with their default 433 , semedo in for rb. then by half time if im losing or tied i swap countinho in the left mid and sub arthur and vidal for busquets then swap position of rakitic and vidal , its really good
4-2-2-2 would be excellent for Barca. Its a perfect balance of width and narrowness where you can simply adjust Coutinho and Dembele to go wide or just stay more central. Have Messi and Suarez play as false 9's which would allow coutinho and dembele to make runs out wide and provide more chances. Suarez's high work rate gets him into the box almost instantly to finish off the chances by dembele and coutinho or with Messi being near the top of the box you can play cutback passes into him and he can have a go at goal.

You need a goalkeeper on the bench because if the goalkeeper gets injured or is sent off, yiu have to sub him off and put Suarez in goal because he is the best outfield player in goal, You will need to sub on Malcom for Ter stegen/Cillesen whoever is in goal and move messi to striker and malcom on the right.

Barca is the most OP team in the game, you literally don’t even have to do much, the CPU will do most of it as far as positioning, and making runs goes. Not to mention literally 9/10 shots with Messi, or Suarez will end up in the back of the net if you can curl it with enough power, and at the right angle.
Also, the ball seems to have some magnetic attraction to Barca in fifa because the first tackle will almost always
A. Actually move the ball forward ahead of the opposing defender.
Or B. Land on another teammate.
So yeah. If you play with Barca you pretty much already have a foot in the door.

Messi in the False 9 role is an absolute joy. Suarez and Messi should be set to "Stay Forward". Suarez should have aggressive interception while Messi should be conservative.
I have been playing FIFA 15 on legendary difficulty, fifa 15 is most fifa game because of it's unstable ingnite engine, and I destroyed the legendary cpu many times , but when I upgraded to fifa 19 , there was another difficulty even above legendary in the career mod , which is ultimate difficulty, back In fifa 15 , I used to use a 3-4-3 formation, because this formation is a really formation, using this formation on difficulty like legendary is extremely hard , but i still manged to destroy the cpu , many times , when I started to use this same formation in FIFA 19 , At legendary difficulty, I was still destroys the cpu with ease , I scoring 6-7 goals in every match, I was playing, My playing style is tiki-taka , I using this style in fifa 15 and It about 2 years to master this playing style, not everyone can master tiki taka style in fifa , but I used tiki-taka to destroy legendary difficulty cpu with a formation like 3-4-3 both in fifa 15 and fifa 19 , But when I upgraded from legendary difficulty to ultimate difficulty cpu which is above legendary difficulty cpu ,I have still scored 8-9 goals in many of the matches ,I played but I was still struggling because 3-4-3 was not properly working in fifa 19 on difficulty, I tried many different 3-4-3 variations ,But then I tried this 4-3-2-1 formation and these tactics and instructions, these b/r guys told , I still made some changes to the tactics and instructions of my own and now I am again destroying ultimate difficulty cpu in fifa 19 , So thanks to these B/R guys , May god bless them❤

Play 1-2 with Messi. Through ball for Messi. Finesse it to the top corner and boom. You win the game by 5 or more. Guaranteed it will at least work twice. Also Samedo over Roberto. I play Dembele on the right and Coutinho on the left although alot if people prefer Malcom. I always put in Malcom to use his pace when the defender is tired. Simple

on FIFA 18 my striker was at man utd , good pace excellent finisher . but the "longball counter attack" style of man utd caused the team to give the ball away on blatant stupid passes in attempts to get me the ball.. they would even try to pass it with 2 defenders on me without me calling for the ball

Maybe it’s the way I play but this ruined Barca for me. The formation is good. Messi should not be aggressive on interceptions. It wastes him faster than he already wastes. Balanced defense...again, maybe I don’t know how to defend but I play much better with press after possession loss. Roberto’s skills don’t make up for how slow he is on defense. Semedo being the only fast person on defense I just can’t see why you would make your whole defensive line slow when you have him there. Especially if you aren’t doing crosses, there is plenty of attacking talent elsewhere, Roberto is unnecessary and weakens your defense against any team with pace up front center or left. Rakitic should be on the right like in real life and coutino on the left, his curl is better. Rakitic has a killer enough power strike I score loads with him there. Also don’t hold him back he should be involved. Use this formation but physically move busquets back to cdm like he is in real life. This allows him to go center back for a back three allowing the fullbacks freedom to move up. I suppose it comes down to playing style, but what this guy suggests completely ruined my season.
c'est plutot bien, mtn je ne souffre plus des contre adserves, c'était surtout ça le plus grand problème empêcher les contres. cette formation est plus adaptée aussi pour ceux désirant jouer en contre puisque les trois attaquants ont pour instruction de faire des appels dans le dos de la défense, ça laisse peu de temps pour voir le placement des joueurs et prendre une bonne décision lorsque la defense adverse est bien placé et que le milieu effectue un gros pressing puisque les trois attaquants sont automatiquements sur le départ. Derrière dans la construction, depuis la défense jusqu'au milieu il faut abuser de la possession, beaucoup de une deux et un jeu en triangle. Pour le squad je préfère malcom (parce qu'au contraire de dembélé il apporte un peu plus défensivement ce qui me permet de demander à messi de rester en attaque et il couvre alba dans ses montées) suarez ( il a une note d'agressivité très forte donc je lui demande de faire des interceptions agressives et irl c'est comme ça que ça se passe et ça marche bien dans les deux cas) messi ( faux n9, il redescend crée de l'espace, il est enssentiel dans ce registre quand l'adversaire met de l'intensité et un pressing, il est très bon lorsqu'il est lancé, je peux lui faire des longs ballons lorsqu'il part depuis le milieu, voilà il est beaucoup plus libre, c'est le meilleur messi)- coutinho - vidal ( je le prefère à rakitic tout simplement pcq je le trouve plus maniable que rakitic, il est plus physique et en plus de sa capacité à tirer de loin il a aussi une tête puissante, note d'agressivité et d'interceptions élevées donc je lui demande de faire des interceptions agressives pendant qu'il reste derrière en attaque) busquets- alba - piqué - lenglet ( pcq lui aussi je le trouve plus maniable, je sais pas si c'est seuleùent moi mais umtiti est vrm trop agressif chaque fois qu'il y a un rouge dans mon équipe c'est toujours lui, il a toujours offert des pénaltys mdrr je sais pas mais il est vraiment comme ça avec moi et sachez que j'ai testé beaucoup de joueurs même cucurella donc je sais plus ou moins a quel point il fit dans la défense, c'est comme en réalité, ça passe vrm bien entre lui et piqué, piqué est encore plus le boss de la défense et comme avec piqué je peux me permettre des tacles glissés dans la surface avec lui pcq il a de longues jambes et est plus élancé que umititi en plus d'avoir une bonne qualité de tête)- semedo ( je lui demande de rester derrière comme ça je peux laisser coutinho libre de se ruer en attaque, et il est rapide bref vrm bon)

Bro i don't even do pressing with messi if i loose the ball he'll drain out completely by the end of the 1st leg , i always unselect him if he was selected automatically while doing pressing, i keep him fresh for his amazing runs and dribbles that's it , so that he'll be always effective 💯 when he gets the ball to run and creates opportunities, cuz he is the key player ,he must be protected and preserved at all cost while defending .
I always play seasons with FC Barcelona, so this video kinda gives me another new tactic/fortmation to play with. Kinda getting tired of using 4-4-2, which is great for offense, but terrible defensively.
The whole point is that your offense is your defense . I think you should try this out.
