The pugilist world is ruled by the powerful Wen clan, which dominates over the smaller Lan, Jiang, Nie and Jin households. Xianxian's scenes with shijie always brought me to tears. Their sibling moments are the best.
This scene was so heart breaking.. XZ face change each time they ask about his sword. He might be think about his loss golden core every time they ask about his sword.

i suddenly have this thought. xianxian remembered this one thing about his mother, "remember people's kindness to us but not ours to them." yet xianxian didn't remembered anything from his childhood only after jiang clan adopted him. of course maybe he was too young. but then i have this feeling, he didn't remember anything because no one did kindness to him during his very difficult moment at that very young age. realizing this thought of mine is damn heartbreaking. wei wu xian worth loves from all! 💔❤💔❤💔❤❤❤
And maybe he also didn't want to remember as it's also the time where he lose his parents and have to live in the streets or something like that
I really miss this jiang cheng 😭 i want to change the novel just to make these two officially reconcile😭

When you know how hurt the other characters are (Wangji, Jiang Cheng, Yanli..) but you can't blame Wei ying as he's also hurt. You can't blame anyone, so you just feel that pain and wished these scenes never happen.

I guess that's why JC felt betrayed bcoz until the end, when he started to fight the whole sec he still went on asking why they have to kill the Wens.. I think if I were on JC shoes, I will feel hurt as well cuz he put us on a difficult situation for other people, he choose them and then his sister died cuz of it.
Still... WWX is such a tragic character...
That is why I think the tiger seal metal really does have an effect on the heart like LWJ said many time. He was kinda unstable in his mind cuz of the metal? But what he did was definitely right. The innocent wens needed someone like WY
The problem is jc doesn't see the bigger picture he chooses duty over doing the right thing ,listening to other people instead of think for himself. Put it like this had the wen clan choose honor over duties to there master things would have been so different like WY wen Qing defied her duties many times to do the right thing and it save their lives many times . To me he is the only one with a clear sight on what humanity really is because look at all the other clan leaders all of them are arrogant, greedy ,power hungry and jealousy and wanna talk about wicked tricks yet the willing to kill innocent woman and children
JC's world view is very narrow and self centered. He is also very insecure. Even Mian Mian had stronger spine than him.

A different perspective : Jian cheng actually had a thing for Wei wuxian. That's why he gets all jealous when LZ is with him. But he's a spoilt brat, so he doesn't know how to show love or care, he just downright hurts him with words. When WW left to the burial mounds with the wen clan, it broke JC, cause he interpreted it as leaving him behind. That's when he turned into WWs enemy.
Um .... I think JC considered WWX as his own brother. Because he often mentions how him and WWX want to be like the twin jade brothers of Lan Clan. Moreover JC liked Wen Qing and He even gifted her a comb which is like a love token (Idk) in those times. Though it's sure that JC didn't like WWX's frndshp with Lan Zhan. It's not Bcoz he had feelings for him but Bcoz he thought that this frndshp and the heroic instinct of WWX would bring disaster to the Jiang Clan which eventually did happen.
